Your culinary journey begins in Skanstull, the southern gateway to Södermalm. Once an industrial area, it has evolved into a lively district where tradition meets modern city life. We stroll along Götgatan, a bustling street lined with boutiques, cafés, and local businesses. Our first stop is a family-run seafood shop with over 60 years of history, where we sample delicacies and learn about Sweden’s rich fishing traditions. As we move through trendy SoFo, we visit hand-picked restaurants and specialty shops offering everything from artisanal cheeses and cured meats to both traditional and modern Swedish dishes. Along the way, we explore the area’s history, culture, and culinary heritage. Our journey concludes at a renowned chocolate atelier, where handcrafted pralines, pastries, and cakes have been made for almost 30 years. We finish with a Swedish fika, enjoying handmade confections and rich hot chocolate—a sweet ending to our flavorful walk through Södermalm.

This food tour was amazing! Not only was Kristen absolutely lovely and knowledgeable (and super friendly), but the food stops were so well curated. It was the best food tour we have done, both because what we tried was so interesting, but it also was delicious (usually you get 1 or the other but not both). I highly recommend this tour. The reviews don’t lie.
Our guide Oliver was great! He is super friendly, interactive and knowledgeable. It was a great way to explore Södermalm while trying traditional and modern Swedish food with a side of history. You will be full by the end of the tour so come hungry. Bonus, you get a small booklet that includes the locations that were visited and a little info. about the locations. The booklet included a couple of locations not on our tour that I would have preferred to visit but imagine the locations are selected due to availability. Overall a fun and tasty tour.
Excellent tour! Our guide Kristen was friendly and knowledgeable. All the places we went served delicious food and accommodated our group even when they were busy. Best swedish meatballs ever at Meatballs for the People!! Highly recommend!

A truly wonderful experience. We sampled a plethora of Swedish foods from 'exotic' meats to street food to tasty desserts. At the end we were quite full! Our guide, Kristin, was knowledgeable, fun and thoughtful. I visited on my birthday and she even arranged to have the Swedish birthday song sung for me at one of the stops. The best food tour I've been on!
