Guided Hot Air Balloon Tour in Luxor

With Galaxy Air Balloons. The experience was really great. However, I did not like the guy coming round with a tin asking everyone for tips at the end when we were all still inside the basket. I already paid $100 USD for this trip, more than some others, and they STILL want more money. The guy became pushy and aggressive towards me when I said I can't tip. Typical Egyptians. This ruined the experience. I think some of these Egyptian tourist companies are exploiting their own workers. :-(

Great organization, everything was very fluid from the hotel, boat, taxi, balloon, return. Staff with little care. We took off in the second series, which allowed to see the first series take off, it was beautiful. Our pilot Hussein was amazing.

Galaxy air balloon We booked 2 adults and 1 child to go on this hot air balloon flight in Luxor Egypt. We went at 5 am to the site only to be told that my son could not go because he is a month younger than 6 years. They offered the 2 adults to go and leave my son behind in the car but of course we would not do that. The trip was for his benefit. They asked what we wanted to do and if we wanted a lift back to the hotel and we said yes, we can’t go with out him. When we rang the company to arrange a refund with the help of our hotel the refused, saying we chose not to go. They lied and said they had told us there would be no refund. They lied and said the had offered for the 2 adults to go in turn (we would have taken this option). I spent £150 on this experience of a life time only for it to be cancelled with no refund. They even refused for the 2 adults to go another day without paying more money. Terrible company. Do not use.

Of the worst experiences I have ever lived, I recommend doing this activity with this company. They picked us up at 4:45 from the boat, to take us to another boat and cross the Nile and there they had us waiting 30 min sitting until another group arrived to set sail. Once we started on the other side we were picked up by a van that took us to the flight area. When we arrived that was chaos. Many of the balloons were already in the air and ours wasn’t even ready to leave, that was right away they came to ask us 10 € for the photos and a video that supposedly, photos that are on the ground and that you can take yourself, because they didn’t even fly with us in the balloon, so from the air there is none. We left the last ones when it had already dawned, and as the other balloons flew high and into the temple and the Nile, ours barely went up, almost turned, and we could not see even the temples Not only that, but in addition to leaving the last we landed immediately, the flight lasted no more than 15 minutes and almost everything at low altitude, the man carrying the balloon kept saying that the flight had been so short because of the circumstances of the weather, needless to say that while we were already on the ground, there were balloons that kept flying and at quite altitude lasting much longer the flight. As I say a disappointment, we were very eager and they took them all away. Paying 100 euros for this seemed like a scam, thanks to our guide who spoke to the agency that contracted with them the activity returned half of the money we paid before so much complaint.

Extraordinary experience with Galaxy Air Balloon in Luxor! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. The team is professional, welcoming and very caring. Sunrise flight is simply magic: flying over the temples and mythical landscapes of Luxor in this golden light is a timeless moment. A big bravo and a huge thank you to our pilot Osama! He is both very professional, reassuring and passionate. You can feel his experience and love for his job. It has created a friendly atmosphere while ensuring a perfectly secure flight. It was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful moments of our stay in Egypt. We highly recommend Galaxy Air Balloon and especially the Osama pilot and his team!

Magical morning worth getting up at 4:30 to be taken to staging site for Luxor Ballon Ride. Staff was professional, emphasizing safety and customer delight! Amazing to see all the other balloons as we drifted over ancient and modern sites. Do not miss this treat!

Ride was just as good as the one offered by ship and we save $$$. Great pilot who told us what we were flying over. We had a smooth soft landing . Amazed at how many crew members are involved. We were back to the ship before sail off and before the guests who took the ship’s excursion. Did have some concern in the beginning cause we couldn’t locate our pickup driver who had gone to another dock where our sister ship was docked. But once that was straighten out, we were off to the launch site. Balloons are much larger than one we flew in at Sedona. Note: wear a hat -a lot of heat comes off the fire.

A big disaster scenario! It's playing with your life, me and 25 other people who were with me survived, unfortunately I still have a broken ankle because of the bungling work of the pilot. We crashed 3x which caused the basket to tip over and was dragged tens of meters through the desert, pilot also forgot to warn us that we had to bend down, due to attention of 1 v d passengers who screamed that we had to bend down we have just not been thrown out of the basket by the crash. Galaxy air balloons were afraid that I would press charges against the pilot and therefore paid all medical expenses, afterwards I regret not doing it, I was afraid that I would have to stay longer in Egypt, now I think I had done it, still I can't walk properly and will certainly take a very long time so that I have not been able to pick up my work. So think carefully before you get in a hot air balloon. I also want to give a tip that tour guides ask a lot more than it really costs, I had to pay €110.00 with tour guide, while it costs around €45.00.

Good organization. Up at 4:40, but it was worth it! To do absolutely! Be careful, no second flight at 7am when the temperatures are too high.

We absolutely loved the balloon trip! It was well organised and professionally run. The views are incredible. It is an experience I will never forget. We also opted for the photo package which was good value and great pictures. Thanks for giving us a wonderful memory to bring home!
