Guayaquil City Tour Including the Light House of Cerro Santa Ana

What a fantastic tour! Tony is genuinely passionate about his city and it is contagious. The views of Guayaquil from the lighthouse are spectacular and feeding Iguanas bananas seriously made my day. Guayaquil is a beautiful city and Tony is absolutely the best person to show you - highly recommend!

Our guide, Antonio Escobar, was personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He provided an excellent tour of many highlights of Guayaquil as well as interesting information. We think anyone visiting this city for the first time would benefit from this tour. It was well worth the time and money.

Antonio showed us around, but he was very knowledgeable and guided us in detail, and we were able to do some fulfilling sightseeing. I had heard that Guayaquil was insecure, but I had no problem walking in the city center and was able to go sightseeing with peace of mind.

Tony was an excellent guide--impeccable English, deep knowledge of the city, and patient with us as we walked slowly up the steps to the lighthouse! He packed in a good deal of sights during our tour but it never felt rushed. Also, safety was never an issue for us here. I have done many city walking tours and Tony was stellar.

We visited the Malecón 2000 at night and it was an unforgettable experience, with a very beautiful and safe atmosphere. And the next day the city tour of Guayaquil was a bit tiring because of the heat, but it was worth it. The view from the lighthouse was great and makes up for everything. I was surprised by the Iguana Park; it's impressive to see them so close and how they coexist with tourists.

As a solo East Asian traveler, the experience was pleasant and comfortable. I felt secure and safe with Tony, my tour guide, who passionately and sincerely introduced the city. He was consistently attentive to any needs or adjustments, making it feel like exploring with an old friend. Well-communicating in English, highly recommend.

Lovely sweet guide. But…. If I’m booking a private tour in English I’d hope to get a guide that speaks English somewhat well & is knowledgeable to things I point out & inquire about. I literally didn’t understand half of what she said. Could’ve done this myself.
