This secluded area hides one of the most beautiful beaches in Rio. Grumari comes from the indiginous words CURU (stone) + MARI (that produces water), a name of a tree that you may find on its shores.
Prainha means literally "Little Beach". Protected by the hills and rocks and surrounded by the flora of the Rainforest, Prainha hides its unique beauty of white sand and crystal clear water.
Calm waters ideal for family and small children. In the quiosques nearby you may find fresh seafood dishes (lunch not included).
