We depart Muscat to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. Visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. Today, the for is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress you get to see amazing views of the ancient town and the nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a base used in the military to hold off the hardest attacks and sieges.

Birkat Al Mouz is a small town in wilayat Nizwa in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. Birkat Al Mouz is a located at the foothills of Jabal Akhdar so everyone who is going to Jabal Akhdar ends up passing through must pass to go through.

I really enjoyed visiting Jabal Akhdar and Birkat Al Mouz; the mountain views were amazing. It was peaceful, relaxing, and a great place to enjoy nature. Birkat Al Mouz was also fun to explore. I liked seeing the old mud houses, the date palm trees, and the beautiful surroundings. Overall, I had a wonderful time with my family. We went to Jebel Akdar and Birkat Al Mouz yesterday (Aug 1) with our family and friends. It was really fun and we got to see the beauty of Oman. The atmosphere was very cool and our tour guides were very nice. The views were amazing and breathtaking. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Family Trip! We had a fantastic experience! The transport was on time, and our driver and tour guide, Mr. Azzan, was friendly, respectful, and incredibly patient with the children. He never minded their laughter and excitement—in fact, he even giggled along with them, which made the trip extra special. Jebel Akhdar never disappoints! We enjoyed the Fruit Festival, bought authentic local rosemary and frankincense oils at great prices, and brought home fresh figs and Omani apples. Visiting Harat Al Yemen Village for the first time was another unforgettable highlight. Traveling with our friends and our daughter’s best friends made the experience even more memorable.
