Garni temple, which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. King Trdat The First ordered building the temple in the first century AD and dedicated it to the God of Sun. After adopting Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its significance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Nowadays the ruins of the royal palace and the bathroom with a stunning mosaic work can be found near the temple. The guest will have a chance to participate in Lavash baking procedure nearby.
In Garni canyon one can explore stunning geological monuments, represented by columnar basalts, which are the result of lava flows. Basalt masses are broken into polyhedral columns, which, due to their regularity of form, have gained the name "Basaltic Organ".
Geghard monastery is the unsurpassable masterpiece of the 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. From the outset the complex was called Ayrivank (cave monastery), later it was renamed Geghard (lance) as the lance, used by the roman soldier to sting Jesus Christ's side, had been kept in this monastery for many centuries. Due to its construction, Geghardavank serves the best place for singing spiritual songs. The complex is rich in subtle sculptural embellishments and many striking khachkars (cross-stones). The site is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

Arpi our tour guide and khachik our driver were both excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, would highly recommend.
Just finished the Garni/Geghard/Symphony of Stones/Lavash baking tour with Hyur tours. It was excellent, and packed a lot of great locations into just half a day. The Geghard monastery was my favorite, followed by the Lavash baking. Our driver (David) and your guide (Sam) were both great, and made the experience inviting, well organized, and safe. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yerevan with a half day to spare.
Great tour, except driver (David) and guide (Sam). Highly recommend it!
Went on the tour with the guide Sam and our driver was David. Sam was very knowledgeable and explained the history and the significances of the location we visited in a clear manner. David got us to each location in a very timely manner, without any issues on the road.
We had a great experience with Hyur Service. Our driver, Aro, was very professional, kind, punctual, and helpful throughout the trip. He drove safely, made us feel comfortable, and gave us a very pleasant experience. Everything was well organized and smooth from start to finish. I highly recommend Hyur Service, especially if you are lucky to have Aro as your driver.
Thank you for the warm words! Thank you for choosing our company! Hope to have another chance to host you!
We had a wonderful day visiting Garni, Geghard, Symphony of Stones and the lavash baking masterclass. Hayk was an excellent guide who shared so many interesting facts and stories, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. It was also a real highlight to hear him play the duduk. A big thank you to our driver, David, for the safe and comfortable ride. Highly recommended!

Went with colleagues in June 2026 with this company on several excursions with guide David. Special thanks to guide David for his wonderful stories, kindness and care! It's a very nice and warm experience, thank you! Definitely recommend this company, you can safely go with them, you won't regret!
Мы очень ценим Ваши теплые слова! Ждем Вас снова в Армении!
All tours with Hyur are good and well organized. This is a short tour. Garni temple is unique in Armenia and the Symphony of Stones was very nice too. If you have little time in Yerevan, this tour should be on your priority list as you get to see a bit of everything: Lavash making (which is quite an experience) - with tasting, Garni unique temple, the rock formation at the Symphony of Stones, a monastery and the Arch of Charents from where the view is fantastic on a clear day. Our guide on this day was Marina who is very good.
The nice experience of our customers is our priority! Thank you for your highest mark!
Gayane was a wonderful guide and had great knowledge of the sites we visited. Ashot the driver got us to our destinations safe and sound.
It’s so nice to hear that you were satisfied with our services. You can surely rely on our company in future as well!
My family took a private tour with Sasha and Rose to Garni, Geghard, and symphony of stones. We also stopped at the Mt. Ararat viewing point, which was stunning. It was such a perfect day! Their hospitality had no end, and took every caution to help us with our baby who was along for the ride. Rose has an in depth knowledge of all things Armenia, and I walked away having learned so much. Sasha was an excellent driver, so funny, and very helpful. They also took us to a beautiful garden restaurant Abelyan House for lunch. I would recommended Hyur to anyone looking for a guide to Armenia, and especially ask for Rose and Sasha! You will love it I have no doubt
Thanks so much for your fantastic review! We would love to host you again whenever you return!
