The getting started instructions were a little vague at first. The next time I would like to go to a city I was not familiar with.

I booked the Groovy Geneva scavenger hunt thinking it would be similar to one I completed in Santa Barbara. I arrived at our determined destination: A chain coffee place's parking lot at 2:00 - our appointed time. I notified them ahead of time we were coming quite a distance. Communication started with text messages and then I was told to go to the What's app to continue. I needed internet coverage - the power point presention was pulled up on the internet. The phone number was european - which explained the lagged time with responses. First thing was sending a selfy at our arrival point. I sent a picture of myself. My friend arrived about 25 minutes late. I notified them that we both were there. The picture of myself didn't go through (I received a notice that we didn't complete the first photo). I sent a second one of the two of us and it was acknowledged. The weather took a turn for the worse. The temp dropped 20 degrees and a cold wind picked up. By the time we received the actual hunt instructions, it was another 15-25 minutes. I read through the first few slides (odd it was a power point presenation). We were at a coffee chain restaurant on a divided 4 lane road with plaza's all around us? This was a walking tour, and the down town was at least 5 miles from where we were parked. First item was interview a local. Other than interviewing the server at Tim Hortons no one was around us. Second task was a mural. I said to my friend this is not what I expected and how are we supposed to walk around this area to find a mural? No idea which way we were supposed to be heading. We quit the game. They offered to give us a voucher for a later date. I told them it was fine, we just didn't want to do the hunt. It was such a rough start - I didn't want to spend another 2 hours in bad weather trying to find my way around an area I was unfamiliar with. This company came across as an international company that did several hunts in several cities at the same time, remotely and with a slide presentation which didn't work all that well on my cell phone. I couldn't rotate it. Now I have to use my readers to see. I read the first few slides and realized it was generic not specific to Geneva.
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent experience. We’re sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations. Our hunts are designed as remote, interactive scavenger experiences delivered through a digital platform, where guests explore at their own pace and follow guided challenges across each location. We understand that this style may feel different from what some guests initially anticipate if the format is not fully reviewed beforehand. That said, most of our guests have an unforgettable time exploring the city in this unique way. We’d really appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience and understand your expectations so we can see how best to make things right. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can assist you personally.
So much fun! Our online guide was super! Would recommend for any small group. Loved walking around Geneva and meeting the friendly locals!
We had a great time! Found spots we never would have discovered, and got us out of the house to explore new things and businesses. Thank you.
Had a great time doing the Groovy Geneva scavenger hunt. Learned about some great new places to visit in Geneva, while having a great time doing it.
