Grand Pearl Bangkok Dinner Cruise with & Hotel Transfer

Fantastic experience . Hotel pick up was on time but due to horrendous traffic (It was Chinese New Year) we made the boat with a minute to spare. A table had been reserved for us on the top deck in a fabulous position so we were really happy with that! It was a lovely warm night and it was so relaxing going up and down the river - lots to see! Hot buffet was excellent with lots of choice, and drinks waiter very attentive. Entertainment was a mix of traditional and modern and both were excellent. Everyone on board seemed to be having as good a time as us. Highly recommend!

A great experience with initial trouble! Two ships docked next to each other at the pier. The first modern and worth seeing. The second also nice but old. We were directed through the modern ship to the old one. Here we were allowed to sit in the heavily air-conditioned interior at a not very cozy table. We were surprised because there were little more than 4 people with us in the whole room. After several requests, we were assigned a table on the upper deck. From then on it was true for us. Next time we book directly with the organizer.

The whole family had a great evening, and the food selection was awesome—there was lots of it. It was impossible to walk away hungry, and the views of the city were awesome. I would not hesitate to do it again.

Lovely night, we were lucky with the weather. Views stunning, food was delicious but actually didn’t try everything as it was a little confusing with the set up being - a little here, an a little there. So we really didn’t stray far but the food was really, really good, catering to all taste buds. Staff were attentive & friendly & the you honestly couldn’t tell you were on a little, it was that smooth - very enjoyable & yes defiantly worth doing

I was tipped off and tricked into buying wrong boat. The boat in picture that Viator advertises is not the same boat we were put on. The boat they placed us on was very old, unsanitary with horrible music, no proper lighting, the food was below average. We raised concerns with supervisor on boat and showed him what we paid for and he agreed with us that the boat we were in was not the same as advertised. Buyer's please be aware, you don't get what you pay for! I will be filing for full refund

Overall, everything went well, but the pick-up time was not stated correctly. The driver arrived an hour later than stated on the voucher. However, since we arrived at the venue on time, the voucher must have been issued incorrectly.

You see the photo shown for this Trip Advisor cruise? Looks pretty posh doesn't it? Well, this was not at all the boat we ended up on! The "Pearl" line apparently operates two main cruises, the "Grand Pearl" and the "Wonderful Pearl." We were waiting for the boat while a "Wonderful Pearl" ship was docked and being loaded. This ship looked amazing; sleek, new, fancy! When we got the go-ahead to board we started off going into the "Wonderful Pearl" but only because the "Grand Pearl" was tied up alongside it, out of sight. After checking on Trip Advisor, I do see a "Luxury Dinner Cruise" on the Wonderful Pearl is available as a completely separate excursion. What a difference! This was a tired looking, older, and smaller boat. The main dining area was set up with plain looking tables and chairs and a small buffet area. At first, the staff offered to seat us in a corner of this area but the thought of spending an entire river cruise there was depressing. We tried moving to a different table but it was still pretty sad. We finally had the thought of checking elsewhere on the boat and found an open table (out of about four) out on the deck at the forward end of the boat. Phew! If not for this our trip would have been miserable. So, at least we had a great table with a great view. The cruise time was just fine and the views of the lit temples and city skyline were very good. That's about all I can say for the experience. The food was average to below-average. Not a lot of variety and not the best quality food. Not worth the almost $70 USD per person in my opinion. I would recommend (just from seeing the boat) the Wonderful Pearl cruise instead.

Food was good and all you could eat buffet style. The boat ride was beautiful and enjoyable. Week worth the money for this excursion.

Paid good money for this dinner cruise on Feb 25. The ship was so unsanitary and poorly maintained we would not touch the food. We asked to be reseated to a new table because they initially put us at a horrible table near the buffet line that had a restricted view of the sights.. Children touching the food, guests sneezing on the food, overall grime, grease and dust on serving surfaces. I shudder just looking at the photos I took. The picture on the website IS NOT what we got. Viator, you need to periodically vet your vendors.
