Amazing sunset tour with Sheldon. He took us to all the highlights and some off the beaten path that were just as spectacular.even arranged a picnic during the main event. I highly recommend the sunset tour of the Grand Canyon. The canyon colors transition from brown and grey to beautiful hues of red and orange. Watching the sunset slowly descend below the rim of the canyon is breathtaking. If you are in the area and want to see the Grand Canyon, this is not to be missed
This was an amazing experience that we highly recommend. The best way to see so many parts of the Grand Canyon. Our tour guide, Brad, was wonderful. Full of knowledge and very accommodating. We want to do it again already!
We absolutely loved this tour. It was comfortable, and very welcoming. Our tour guide, Brad, was a wealth of knowledgeable both geologically and culturally and shared so much information with us. He knew the best scenic spots to see, was very accommodating to our wants and needs.
It was a great experience with a knowledgeable friendly guide. Loved the whole day!
Brad gave us great information, history etc and showed us the best spots in the time allotted for the tour. Definitely recommend!
As a family, we are mixed on which we loved better -- the actual Grand Canyon, or the tour and daytrip itself! The Grand Canyon in all its immense splendor is something everyone needs to see. However, seeing it on this tour and with our guide, Charlie, was not just visually stunning. It was educational, enlightening and a lot of laughs. From the time we got on board until the time we got home, Charlie was great! He was intuitive to everyone's interests. He was super knowledgeable about the region, its history, geography and geology, and had a true empathy for the environment and ecology. The drive to Grand Canyon was scenic, but also peppered with a needed rest stop and a stop at Cameron Trading Post (where we not only picked up some wonderful items, but takeout lunch to eat on the rest of the ride!) The stops throughout the Grand Canyon were diverse and easy walks. Charlie gave us some more challenging walk options, which my family took and loved! We never felt like we were stuck in the van. There was a ton of walking, seeing and experiencing! Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, so we didn't get an actual sunset, per se...but our final view of the canyon was just as amazing as we sat on a small cliff as a family of four and marveled. Dinner was at a fun place just outside Grand Canyon, called We Cook Pizza and Pasta. There, Charlie, the other group of three in our party and our family of four traded stories and smiles and some pretty decent food! Charllie front-loaded the entire trip with information and visuals, so that the two-hour drive back home was pretty much on a highway in very dark skies. Good time to reflect -- or take a nap! Great trip! I cannot over-recommend it!
It’s also great for solo travelers! The guide was amazing and did everything he could to make the trip successful — I’ve never had a guide like him. I’d love to leave him a tip as well!
Sheldon was very informative and enthusiastic. Tour is long, but needs to be if viewing sunset and drive to and from Sedona.
Dress in layers. Be ready to take amazing pictures. Trust your guide, they know what they are doing as far as places to stop and photos to take. We had an amazing tour with Charlie. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, accommodating and an excellent driver. He talked to us and asked questions so he could learn what kind of experience we wanted such as more walking or less walking, more or less stops, more or less shopping. He did not steer us wrong, the day was perfect and the sunset and cloudless sky was the cherry on an amazing day. The only hiccup we had was our guide asking our opinion on the type of restaurant we would want to have dinner at that evening. The tour states that you would be having dinner at one of the national park lodges. We mistakenly assumed that this was planned and reservations were made. It was concerning because none of us knew any of the restaurants and we were offered a place with pizza and wings, which I am sure is a wonderful place to eat but with the price of the tour over $250 per person, I think dinner could be a little bit more upscale and reservations could be made ahead of time. We ended up eating at the Navajo reservation. The food was fine and it was an experience, but it was not at all what we were expecting. That being said we would not have traded the day for anything. It was the highlight of our trip to the Sedona area and Charlie was terrific.
We had a great experience at Grand Canyon with Steve. He was a great tour guide and knew a lot about Grand Canyon history. Great and safe driver and very friendly. Thank you Steve for a wonderful experience!
