Amazing tour and whiskey tasting

A wonderful afternoon tour of the distillery with a very knowledgeable guide. Good pace for the tour, with chance to ask questions. The final whisky tasting was in a beautiful house, with the whisky pared with fine chocolates. Those who are driving, the tasting whisky can be taken away in nice little labeled bottles. A visit to the shop is a must, make the most of a tour discount and grab a souvenir bottle to savour when you get home.

A Slow, Sweet Wander Through Glengoyne

Glengoyne is one of those distilleries that feels crafted rather than commercial. The whole experience is slow, calm, and incredibly well run — very “Highlands meets cosy storytelling”. The guides are the real highlight: warm, funny, and properly knowledgeable. You never feel rushed, and even if you’re not a whisky expert, everything is explained clearly and with passion. It’s the kind of tour where you walk away thinking, “I actually learned something,” but also “I’d happily sit in that tasting room all afternoon.”
