Itinerary
You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris. There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926. After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV, to enjoy a guided visit of Louis XIV’s suite, the Hall of Mirrors and more… After your guided tour inside the castle you will also have some remaining time to discover the famous “A la Française” gardens. The Musical Fountain Show takes place every weekend from April to October. During this period access to the gardens will be included to see the fountains and groves spring to life to the rhythm of the music: On Saturdays and Sundays from April to October + some additional dates (May 8,10, 22, 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26 and August 15)

Amazing time with our knowledgeable guide
Giverny was beautiful! And Versailles magnificent. Oliver, the guide, was not particularly friendly. He said very little during the drive to Giverny. As we approached the location he provided a little historical information along with logistics. At Versailles, Oliver the knowledgeable historian arrived. He was engaging and humorous. Filled with interesting facts and stories about Versailles and the generations of people that lived there. We would have enjoyed learning more about the history of Giverny, Versailles and Paris while in the van. It was evident at Versailles that Oliver is an historian and loves his city. I wish he shared more of his knowledge and stories.
The garden and house are absolutely beautiful and well worth seeing for anyone visiting Paris. My advice is to anyone visiting get there on opening as it gets very busy very quickly.
Highly recommend this trip. Isobelle our guide was extremely knowledgeable , helpful and considerate. The van was very comfortable, The lunch she organized was delicious . It was a great day !!!
This particular tour was 2 in one. A visit to Giverny and to Versailles. This is also the one with lunch included in a quaint nice restaurant. It was a beautiful experience.

Bringing together two of France’s most iconic destinations in a single day makes for a full but rewarding experience, and we're pleased to hear it was a memorable one for you. Thank you for traveling with us, and we hope to welcome you again on a future visit. Best regards, Paris Trip Team
Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable & made it a great experience. The monet gardens are absolutely beautiful, however Versailles was a bit rushed.
Take a rain coat, umbrella... you never know. Good walking shoes and you will find a little piece of heaven where Monet spent his life Michelle was an amazing guide!!
Giverny Monet's House and Gardens was absolutely gorgeous with all the flowers and plants in full bloom in May. We had plenty of time to tour the house and gardens on our own, before meeting up with Nicholas, our guide. After a lovely lunch at a small restaurant in the countryside, we moved on to Versailles. Nicholas was very knowledgeable and toured us through the Palace with good commentary on each room. It was extremely crowded but he kept us together and informed so we didn't miss out on anything.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Spring is truly a beautiful season to visit Monet’s House and Gardens in Giverny, and we’re glad you had the chance to enjoy the flowers in full bloom. It’s also wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the countryside lunch and your guided visit of Versailles with Nicholas. His knowledge and ability to navigate busy days at the Palace help make the experience smoother and more enjoyable for our guests. Thank you again for choosing Paris TRIP for your Giverny and Versailles day trip. We hope to welcome you back again for more memorable experiences in France. Warm regards, The Paris TRIP Team
Our guide, Sebastian, was great. Very knowledgeable and engaging with our questions and comments. Only suggestion is for the tour company to provide bottled water in the vehicle.
We enjoyed our tour with Nicholas. He was so knowledgeable and fun. Even a little rain didn’t dampen the enjoyment. Nicholas also offered to take photos at appropriate spots.
