Description

Have you ever imagined gazing at the most splendid garden with thousands of colors... Immerse yourself in the world of the painter, famous for his landscape canvases and numerous views of his garden, such as the "Water Lilies," the "Japanese Bridge" and "The Irises." Your visit will also include the beautiful water lily pond, with its play of colors and Monet's legendary Japanese-inspired bridge. Learn about the artist's daily life by visiting his home and his studio. Take the opportunity to explore Monet's pink-plastered house, where he lived and worked for many years. Discover the blue reading room, which leads into the larder and Claude Monet's studio, where the doyen of the french impressionists worked until 1889. At the end of your visit, take advantage of the village and the pretty gift and book shop; it is housed in what was once the studio where Monet painted the huge Water Lilies canvases.

Important Information

  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Excellent souvenir shop with a wide range of reproductions of Monet's paintings, crockery, table sets (dominant in Monet's favourite blue and yellow colours) and even a range of flower seeds.
  • The collection of Japanese engravings inside Monet's home is one of the most important in the world.
  • During the high season, this popular destination can experience significant crowds. Hot lost tickets

I had some difficulty boarding the tour because I was not able to access my tickets to Giverny after a date change. Luckily, the contact on site was able to access my payment validation and we were able to board. I think it might be a software issue. If not, it was my phone issue. But we enjoyed the tour. Almost died in the sun waiting for it though.

Operator response

Lack of instructions...

Lack of instructions about which bus to board for pick up point and how to return back from the visit to the garden back to the parking lot where the bus is parked for the return journey. Such information is very essential and was lacking

Operator response

Dear Naren, Thank you for your comment. We are very sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your experience. However, we would like to point out that the meeting point is clearly indicated on the voucher. Regarding the instructions for returning to the coach after the visit, these should have been provided by the guide. If this was not the case, we kindly invite you to contact our Customer Service team, providing the name and date of your reservation, so that we can investigate what happened and take the necessary steps to ensure it does not happen again. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)

Stranded! Guide left early after wasting time picking up equipment.

Don’t go. Guide left early (stranding at least 5 people miles from Paris) wasted time picking up equipment he should have had already, and gave worthless instructions for exiting gardens and returning to bus.

Operator response

Dear Terrence, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for what you've shared. We are surprised by what happened with the guide; however, we will forward your comment to the relevant department so they can investigate what occurred, as we care about the service we provide to our customers. We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of the tour. Kind regards, Paris City Vision

Good Option to See Fantastic Place

I was glad I purchased direct transportation to Giverny. This tour was quick and convenient and the guide provided some interesting information on the bus ride over. The self-guided tour with the app was perfectly sufficient. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time for me given the crowds — just note that during peak season, when the lines are even longer, you may feel rushed.

Operator response

Dear Isabel, Thank you very much for your comment. We’re glad to hear that the direct transportation and the self-guided tour met your expectations. We understand that during peak season, the crowds can be challenging, and we appreciate you taking that into account. We hope you enjoyed Giverny and that you have the opportunity to visit again in the future. See you soon! Kind regards, Paris City Vision
