Pierce the secrets of one of the pillars of Impressionism, Claude Monet. Leader of the pictorial movement of the 19th century, he brought a wind a change to academic representative art introducing heightened perception, emotions and light. The painter devoted more than forty years of his life to one of his finest masterpieces: his garden in Giverny

Admission included60 min

The artist gardener sought to transform a simple orchard into magnificent colorful garden: Japanese cherry trees, flowerbeds of nasturtiums, tulips and roses, an explosion of colors for each season.

15 min

This beautiful 12th century Romanesque church, refurbished in the 15th and 16th centuries, is worth a visit for its beautiful furniture, its many statues and murals, its beautiful harmonium and all the details of its remarkable architecture. Its parish enclosure is also interesting with its christianised dolmen and its small cemetery. The grave of the family Hoschede Monet.

Admission included15 min

Vincent van Gogh spent only 70 days in Auvers sur Oise. This short stay was nevertheless extraordinarily prolific, since this picturesque site, its inhabitants and its surroundings inspired more than 70 works including the church of Saint Auvers sur Oise.

20 min

The cemetery of the city welcomes the burial of the painter. You can pay a last tribute to an exceptional man. You can also discover the tomb of his brother Theo.

Admission included45 min

Auberge Ravoux, located in the heart of the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, 30 kilometers from Paris was the last home of Vincent van Gogh ... who, in 37 years of life, had no less than 37 other addresses in Netherlands, Belgium, England and France. This site, classified as a historical monument, is today the only house where lived Van Gogh preserved in its original state. The soul of the painter still vibrates under the eaves of the Auberge Ravoux, and in House No. 5, the glory of Van Gogh gives way to an atmosphere of intimacy. A place of memory, Van Gogh's House is also a place of life: today as in 1890, the dining room welcomes guests from all over the world in the warm and authentic atmosphere of the artists' cafés of the past.

A great trip and guide.

Wonderful trip with a splendid guide, Jean-Paul, who saw to it we were never hurried but always got the chance to take a breather when we needed one. He was knowledgeable about Van Gogh and Monet, about Auvers and Giverny.

Good tour, great guide!

Good tour with a great guide (J-P)! Before the tour I was worried that things would feel very rushed and that there wouldn't be sufficient time to enjoy each of the two sites (Auvers-sur-Oise & Giverny) properly, but it all turned out fine.

We all loved the tours...

We all loved the tours and thought our guide did a good job. Our only complaint was that since we were a group of 9, we could not always hear him unless we were standing right next to him. It would have been useful to have had earbuds or some sort of listening device that he spoke into so that we could hear him better wherever we were standing.

Perfect Day for Art and Garden Lovers

This is a Paris "must do"—-I had done a tour of Giverny in 2023 and returned to this one which included a tour of Van Gogh's final home in Auvers-sur Soise. The trip was led by Valeria who is beyond delightful, knowledgeable about Monet, Van Gogh and art history in general. It was a truly enjoyable day and an immersive experience with a fabulous and fun guide. Thank you Valeria!

Amazing!

This was our favorite day during our trip to France. Our tour guide Ang was a fountain of knowledge. We loved Monet’s garden and walking in VanGogh’s last footsteps! Having a skilled driver get us out and back into Paris was critical! Highly recommend!!!

Gardens / Van Gogh great. Guiding needs improvement

The garden is magnificent and Van Gogh tour was great. I appreciated the back ground given while driving there., but once we got to the garden the guide spent very little time with with us. We were listening to another group that had a guide. Also, we were unable to have lunch at Van Goh’s restaurant I guess a misunderstanding with our reservations. They did offer to have lunch at outside table , but that defeats the whole experience . 🤷🏽‍♀️

Wonderful day in Giverny and Auvers.

Jean Paul was very knowledgeable and easy to speak with. He took us to the Monet water garden first before it was too crowded. We then wandered the garden and home. Afterwards he drove us to Auvers and we visited the inn where Van Gogh died. I thought it would be morbid but it was respectful. He showed us the scenes that Van Gogh painted and eventually Van Gogh’s grave. While we ate lunch he moved the van to the cemetery as walking a long time is hard for me. He was a very good and thoughtful guide. Highly recommend. I was a wonderful day. Many tours do not include Auvers as a Van Gogh fan I loved this day. I will always remember it.
