Itinerary
Stroll this quiet antebellum street of Wragg district, where so much happened, and so little realize it.
This pier had it's heyday in the 1940's as one of the first amusement parks in the nation. Newly renovated, you are free to roam to it's end, or shop inside the terrific beach store (including ice cream and hot dogs) or even have a margarita at Pier 101 Beach Bar (if open).
Hike to the end of Folly Beach to get an upclose and personal with the 6th oldest lighthouse in the US. This includes a 3/4 mile roundtrip walk to the lighthouse. We do need to traverse a sand dune to get to the beach.
We will visit this 400-500 year old, John's Island live oak.
The only and oldest remaining plantation house, in it's original form. While we do not tour inside the house, we will stop for pictures and history lesson.
We ride through the grounds with just a brief stop to Snap! a picture of the circa 1870 home.
The oldest remaining parish hall south of Virginia, sits among the Spanish moss and graveyard of the Drayton family.
This military college dates back to the civil war. Some say, they even started it!
Walk along the station street just beyond the fort, to the beach, and get a great big surprise!
This beautiful church was built during the 1830's for the Irish Army Core of Engineers constructing the forts on the island. Travel back in time into this testament of survival.
The ugliest lighthouse in America!
Up close view of USS Yorktown & USS Laffey
Another secret and immense view of the Yorktown and the Cooper River.
Water cruise option available, self-pay $15. Bon Voyage back to your starting point at the Wharfside Aquarium or Waterfront Park. Or Van will drop you off at Liberty Hilton or anywhere downtown Charleston on peninsula

If you are looking to see a great portion of charleston this is your tour. Leanne picked us up at the location she stated in a very comfortable and clean van. We visited many famous and historic sites, all while Leanne explaining all the interesting facts about each site.. Leanne was very informative and pleasant. A great tour to go on!
I am the only tour operator that runs this extensive journey into the Lowcountry of Charleston.
Leanne, our driver/guide did an outstanding job of providing a comprehensive tour of Charleston. Her descriptions were thorough and insightful. The tour exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed each of the sites visited.
Glad you enjoyed this full day trip into the seldom-seen areas of Charleston. This excursion combines scenic driving and small walks to areas not may visitors get to see!
We had a great time. Leanne was very informative. She worked with the needs of our group.we saw alot of sights, may revisit Magnolia plantation, as it was a quick stop.

Leanne did a great tour with places and events we hadn’t seen or heard about. A great variety. We enjoyed her accurate.account of history throughout the tour. Very comfortable vehicle.
So many people miss out on the true experiences of the Charleston Lowcountry. I am the only operator that offers these unique get-away tours.
After extensive research, we booked the Get Out of Town Tour with Leanne - she surpassed our expectations! We knew the area to be rich in history, architecture & scenery, but all this was dramatically enhanced by having such a personable & knowledgeable guide - thank you Leanne!
This was a wonderful trip. You get to see and learn about many interesting places in Charleston. My favorite stop of the day was the Angel Tree.
You get to see a lot of historical sites in one tour. Leeann was a great guide who listened to our preferences
LeeAnn was very knowledgeable, friendly and organized. Excellent tour if you want to touch on a variety of different locations outside of the norm.
We did not have a car, so this tour gave us a great amount of information outside of downtown. We got out and walked most places. The old oak is phenomenal. Leeann is great and full of facts about each area
My partner and I really enjoyed this tour. It was an awesome way to explore greater Charleston without renting a car. The Angel Oak Tree and Morris Island Lighthouse are really worth checking out. Leanne was an excellent tour guide and full of historical facts. My only complaint is that pictures were only taken on the tour guides phone. I would have preferred for them to be taken on mine so they would be easier to edit if needed. I would suggest offering this since groups are so small, or at the least take the photos on live. Thank you!
