Description
This tour focuses on food and its history, as well as that of the city and its inhabitants and their habits. After going to the cheese store to fetch fresh cheeses and tasting some fine selection from the chef, the group and the guide also make a trip to the butchery where fresh meats are collected and tasted also. You will then visit an iconic old street in Paris where a restaurant will welcome the group for you to try the best parisian dishes. A wine selection directly suggested by the partner restaurant will be offered. A guide with a unique personality, and the opportunity to leave with memories such as a group photo and a PDF booklet with all the best addresses in Paris, will be sent to you through email ! Meet the rest of the group and your guide in front of the metro station, where a brief explanation of the neighborhood's history awaits you along with some welcome pastries.
Naturally, a visit to a Parisian bakery is a must! That's where you'll order your traditional baguettes like a true Parisian, along with other types of bread, and enjoy a surprise treat!
Your guide will then share anecdotes about the illustrious Latin Quarter while guiding you to the butcher's shop, where you will enjoy a tasting of various French charcuteries appreciated by the locals.
Our accredited guide will take you directly to the first location, which is the cheese shop, where you'll taste fresh cheese and sample other cheeses known as Chef Dubois' "personal creations," all accompanied by detailed explanations from the guide.
The Pub Saint Germain, an illustrious bar in Paris, will be a place of unforgettable culinary discovery. From roasted camembert to traditional onion soup, you'll enjoy a seasonal selection from the chef that will leave you craving more exploration! And of course, all accompanied by white and red wine!
Finally, before you depart, a last sweet treat awaits you: the famous "merveilleux" and "pain au lait" from Merveilleux de Fred!
