Fun, Flexible Treasure Hunt Around Leeds with Cryptic Clues & Hidden Gems

I bought the treasure hunt as a fun way to spend a couple of hours with my adult son. We bought the Leeds experience, which is also our home town, and even though we know leeds city centre very well we still found the clues really challenging and also learnt quite a bit of local history that we didn't know. I can highly recommend!

Captain Bess Treasure Hunts are an excellent way to get to know a new city or find out things you didn't know about a city you think you know well. The Leeds hunt was fascinating - we love how every clue found finishes with a bit of a history lesson on that particular part of the city. We learned loads and had a lovely walk around the city at the same time.

This was a great fun way to see some of Leeds and even learn a little about the City . I have no doubt we saw more of Leeds than we would have, while having fun at the time . The level was just right. I would recommend.

It was a great experience, we got to learn things about Leeds (and ourselves haha) navigating and delegating directions needs to be organised lol we had a good laugh though looking for things around us and celebrating when we found them! Some directions were tricky at the end but that would maybe be down to the navigator! Great fun! P.S. best part was finding the pubs on way we would never have thought, Briggate - The Ship Inn for those who don’t appeal to ale

Having done a few treasure hunts before, we knew what to expect and weren’t disappointed. Great treasure hunt and fantastic amount of information given, not too much, not too little. We took slightly longer than 3 hours due to the Christmas market and stopping for lunch. Highly recommended

Really good fun, clues were challenging enough and it was a great way to explore the city. Something different to do as a group with plenty of stops along the way for drinks!

Fun way to spend an afternoon looking around a city. Love the fun facts and historical facts! There are lots of things you wouldn't notice otherwise. Puzzles are challenging enough to get most adults interested throughout! Only thing I would like to see is the game being available for 1 person, not a minimum of 2!

I have worked in Leeds and never seen much. This experience enabled us to see the lovely buildings and spaces with a little education. Lots of places to look at when next here. The scavenger was a lot of fun with plenty of interesting photo opportunities

Really excellent way to see around Leeds! We thoroughly enjoyed it! We’d say worth doing at the start of your trip, so you have momentum, and get a feel for the city.

The hunt is really good fun. The clues were a good level of challenge and the trail introduced us to bits of of Leeds we'd never seen before as well as some interesting facts. The hunt was easy to join and straightforward for everyone to participate on their phones, with a really easy to use interface. It was great being able to do it at our own pace and pause to pop in shops and have a drink when we wanted. Overt a great experience!
