Itinerary
Your local expert will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to the banks of the Ganges River for an immersive start to your spiritual journey. As you walk toward the ghats, your guide will introduce you to the first glimpse into the rhythm of life by the river—pilgrims bathing, locals performing morning prayers, and the vibrant culture that defines one of the world’s oldest living cities.
Arrive at the ghats and begin your day with a serene sunrise boat ride along the Ganges River, traveling from Dashashwamedh Ghat to Manikarnika Ghat. Along the way, witness the sacred morning rituals, traditional cremation ceremonies, and the vibrant spiritual atmosphere that defines life along the riverbanks.
After the boat ride, enjoy a guided walk through the narrow temple lanes. First visit kashi vishwanath Temple – One of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Your guide will share stories about Varanasi’s spiritual heritage and explain the customs and daily rituals of the city.
After the city walk, your guide will pause at a popular local street corner where you can explore traditional breakfast options and savor authentic Varanasi flavors. Following this, explore the peaceful campus of BHU, Asia’s largest university, known for its academic history and cultural significance. You may also visit Bharat Kala Bhavan if time permits.
Drive towards Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. It's a peaceful site with ruins, temples, and a serene deer park, marking the birthplace of Buddhism.
Next, visit the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. It is one of the oldest stone inscriptions in India and symbolizes the spread of Buddhism under Ashoka's reign. Though the original lion capital is now in the museum, the pillar remains a key highlight of Sarnath.
This a massive cylindrical structure marking the exact spot where Buddha gave his first teachings. The stupa stands 43 meters tall and is adorned with intricate carvings that reflect the rich Buddhist heritage.
Return to your hotel for a short rest or to freshen up before heading out for the evening experience. This break allows you to relax and recharge after the day’s sightseeing before witnessing one of Varanasi’s most captivating spiritual rituals.
Around 5 PM, as the sun begins to set, you'll head to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the iconic Ganga Aarti—a captivating Hindu ritual featuring synchronized chants, oil lamps, and offerings to the sacred Ganges River. After experiencing this spiritual ceremony, you'll be dropped back at your hotel, concluding the day’s tour with unforgettable memories.

Zahin was very attentive and friendly. The tour was very beautiful because of the colors and contrasts visible from the boat. We also saw the cremations, and the guide explained the process very well, answering all our questions. Recommended.
The tour was really good, we enjoyed a lot. Zahin, our guide was very good! He explained us a lot of important things about the culture and the city.
Your review brought a smile to our team. Knowing Zahin's knowledge and friendly guidance made the tour both enjoyable and informative means a great deal to us. We’re grateful you chose to explore with us.
The tour was a little disappointing, the guides explained many things but it always was a little superficial; some more commitment would have been nice. Besides this we still really enjoyed the boat ride and Ganghes Arti.
Knowing you enjoyed your tour of Varanasi, especially the boat ride and the Ganga Aarti, which we hope remain memorable highlights of your visit is truly appreciated. We were, however, concerned by your comments about the guide. The stories shared during the tour are based on Varanasi's rich history, cultural traditions, and long-held local beliefs that attract visitors from around the world. The guide's role is to present these historical and cultural narratives rather than personal opinions or perspectives. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'd be happy to hear more about your experience. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any additional concerns. We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you again for an even better experience!
The experience was nice but himanshu would scroll on his phone sometimes and left us during the evening ceremony. It would’ve been nice if he stayed with us to answer our questions. He did know a lot but would sometimes get confused. The boat ride was really beautiful though and the ceremony was interesting.
Firstly we are glad you chose to explore Varanasi with us and enjoyed the boat ride, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautiful ceremonies along the Ganges. It's wonderful to know these moments made your trip special. We are truly sorry to hear that Himanshu didn't seem as attentive as you expected. That's certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. Himanshu has always received great feedback from our travelers, so your comments genuinely concern us. We'll speak with him and review what happened so we can make sure every guest receives the level of service they deserve. Thank you for being honest and your feedback helps us improve, and hope we'll have the chance to welcome you back for an even better tour in the future!
The guide, Himanshu was a nice and talkative guy with full of knowledge of the city. He listened well and flexibly accommodated my need.
Knowing the city well is important, but listening to guests is just as valuable. We're pleased Himanshu could create an experience that felt both informative and suited to what you were looking for. A little flexibility can go a long way.
