The track is a combination of well-formed gravel path and some very well constructed rock steps. We typically take 35-45mins to complete the hike up. The walk requires a moderate level of fitness/mobility. We do have alternatives for those with mobility/fitness issues who do not wish to attempt this hike/part of the tour. However, you should advise your Guide of this as soon as possible and absolutely before lunch, so that they can explain the options and make the alternate arrangements as required.

Cast your eyes as far as the eye can see across the Tasman Sea, looking for whales, super pods of dolphins, schools of tuna, local friendly seals and sea lions. Alex was an excellent driver — informative, funny, and full of great stories that made the journey even better. The trip was smooth from start to finish, and the views along the way were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend!
Lots of options on offer and flexibility with what you can see and do. Appreciated Bunzi’s suggestions and local knowledge about where we would experience the best of the beautiful Freycinet Peninsula.
A full day of travel but worth it for the beautiful views. The hike to the viewing point was not too aggressive and the path was very well maintained. Our guide, Jodie, was really pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating.
Tour guide was fantastic providing so much interesting info about wildlife, indigenous history, a fun tour walk and catering!
A fabulous day with breathtaking views to reward you at the top. Our guide Gino was great, knowledgeable and helpful at all times. Choose your level of activity. The hikes are well worth the the experience.
The guide was an energetic woman. The journey to the observatory to Wineglass Bay is quite challenging, but I was able to walk with a reasonable rest and enjoy the amazing views. We also had a few stops.
Wow! What a day. I climbed to the lookout. A great feeling of accomplishment, I know, small things but for a relatively unfit, dreaming of being fit person, this was a big achievement. Slow and steady was the key and although breathless at times it was worth it. The day was bright and cool and the view was amazing. Our guides Gino and Sky, were knowledgeable, encouraging and all round fun. Thankfully they didn’t let me chicken out at that first lookout. A very memorable day. Lunch at the Marine farm was very filling and delicious. The lighthouse and wonder of Honeymoon bay. A long drive with good company to experience the eastern coast of Tassie. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Wineglass bay, and honeymoon Bay were so gorgeous. And our tour guide, Gino was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Jodi is a fantastic guide. The pick up was punctual and the tour did not feel rushed. Overall, a good experience.
The hike to the Wineglass Bay lookout was more strenuous than I expected it to be so be warned if you are not someone who exercise regularly like me. Jodi, our guide, was great - patient and kept assuring me that I was not delaying the group when I was falling way behind. Having lunch sitting on a rock and staring at beautiful Honeymoon bay was an unexpected delight. Jodi gave us an extra bonus stop to view a spectacular sunset which is a wonderful way to end the tour.
