Full Day Tour to the West Bank & East Bank

We had an amazing time exploring Luxor with Ra. He knows the history inside and out, but what we appreciated most was how easy he made everything feel. He answered all our questions, shared interesting stories, and kept the days fun from start to finish. The part we’ll remember most is how kind he was to our 2-year-old son, Khefren. Luxor in the summer is no joke. The days are long and very hot, but Ra kept Khefren smiling the whole time. He played with him, joked around with him, and made him feel included everywhere we went. It made such a difference for us as parents and turned what could have been a tiring trip into a wonderful family experience. Thank you, Ra, for making our time in Luxor so special. We would recommend you to anyone visiting Egypt without hesitation.

We have just returned from a week a TUI cruise and wanted to see the sights but at our own pace. Before we travelled, I contacted a few local guides and Ra stood out straight away as being very helpful and responsive. Ra guided us in Luxor and we had a great experience from start to finish. On our first full day, we visited the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Medinet Habu and Karnak Temple. Ra was knowledgeable, easy to spend time with and struck a really good balance between explaining the history and giving us space to explore on our own. Ra also organised everything for us in Aswan, including a driver and a boat. In the morning we visited the Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple and the Old Cataract Hotel. In the afternoon, we went by boat to Kitchener’s Island and a Nubian village, which was a really memorable part of the trip. When we returned to Luxor, we also visited Dendera Temple, which was another highlight. We always prefer to travel at our own pace rather than in a group, and this worked perfectly for us. Everything was well organised but still felt relaxed and flexible, which made a big difference to our overall experience. If you are looking for a private guide and want to avoid large group tours, I would highly recommend Ra.

Our trip to Egypt was amazing. The temples were incredible, and our guide, Rah, made the history come to life with engaging stories and insights. We learned so much while having a lot of fun along the way. Highly recommend this experience!

I made the reservation through the GYG app. I was a solo traveller so I was a bit worried, but it was a private tour and I was able to customize it to my liking! The guide spoke easy-to-understand English, so I was able to learn a lot about Egyptian history! The Nile felucca cruise was really nice. I recommend it if you go to Luxor. During the trip, we stopped at a few stores, but I probably didn't need to shop there. That's all I regret. To be honest, it was tourist prices lol But don't worry, it's okay if you refuse! At the end, they bought me some delicious juice! It was the best in hot Egypt!

It was an amazing tour. It was our first time having a guide. Ra was very patient with us while we took pictures. But also kept the tour moving quickly. Just how we wanted. Ra was very knowledgeable. Would definitely Recommend his tour.

Ra is the best tour guide we found in Egypt! Don’t waste time trying to find a guide in the last minute at the entrance of the archeological sites, we did it and tour guides most of the time don’t know much. Ra is knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and gave us lots of insightful advices. He’s great!!!! We learned so much about West side attractions in just one day. We’d book him again if we come back to Egypt, he has our trust.

Excellent! They offered to pick us up at the airport to make better use of the day and time. Ali was our guide and his service was very personalized, he surprised us for good because we did not expect that. She was aware of us and what we needed to make us comfortable at all times. He knows the whole story very well and tells it with a lot of passion, it is impossible to get bored with him. He is very prudent and respects personal space and does not ask for a tip unlike most places.

We did a 2-day Luxor tour with Ra with our 2 x kids (aged 6 and 9). Looking at lots of temples and tombs can get boring very quickly for our kids - but Ra did an amazing job of engaging with them and involving them. We then went back to Ra’s house for dinner on the first day and met his wonderful family. We had a magical evening! I mentioned to Ra that my son wanted to play football so he rented the local pitch for an hour and we all played there. In short, Ra went above and beyond to make sure that all of us were enjoying the tour. I could not recommend him more highly!
