Piedras Rojas is an unforgettable destination, with stunning landscapes at more than 4,000 meters altitude. The contrast of the colors of Piedras Rojas, the Salar de Aguas Calientes and the lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques with the surrounding volcanoes creates a breathtaking setting, full of peace and beauty.
The Laguna Chaxa is one of those places that make you slow down the step and just observe. In the middle of the Atacama Salar, it surprises with its shallow waters and perfect reflexes, where flamingos walk peacefully between the sky and the salt. The contrast of the intense white of the salary with the blue of the sky and the gentle rose of the birds creates a near surreal setting.
Surrounded by volcanoes and intense colors, this salary impresses by the combination of turquoise-blue lagoons, white salt formations and the deep tones of the Andean landscape.

This tour is done in altitude and starts quite early, so you need to be super well-groomed, with at least 3 layers. The tour area may also have excessive wind days, so consider having a short wind and protection for the face and eyes. In addition this tour needs acclimatation, which means that you should leave for the third day ahead of your trip in Atacama, this ensures that your body is better prepared to cope with altitude.

I really liked the experience. The guide has a lot of knowledge about everything that encompasses the tour and seeing the landscapes was amazing. All the other tours were also very cool and got it all right. I highly recommend.
