Itinerary
The tour begins with the pick-up of the tourist at his hotel in Lima at approximately 5.45 a.m. On board the comfortable tourist bus we will make a 259 kilometer journey along the South Pan American road (4 hour journey) until we reach the resort of Paracas in the Ica region.
Once in Paracas we will board the jetty of El Chaco to depart on a modern slider to Ballestas Island. After a 30 minute sea journey we will arrive at the island where we will appreciate the lush nature and marine life that inhabits the islands, such as: sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black or guanay cormorants, flamingos, parijuanas and more. The sea walk will take 1 hour 45 minutes approximately. On the tour we will also appreciate the famous Candelabra, a mysterious geoglyph in the large sand (probably belonging to the Nazca culture).
After visiting Paracas we will leave by tourist transport to the city of Ica (1 hour journey on average). There we will know the famous oasis of Huacachina, which is located only 5 kilometers from the city center. In the small village we can appreciate the beautiful lagoon formed in a desert. In addition, we can enjoy its simple streets surrounded by beautiful scenery. Optionally we can perform the sports activities offered in Huacachina: sandboarding, buggy riding and more.
Next, we will visit one of the famous chocolate shops of Ica where we can taste the famous sweets of the region: chocoteja, alfajores, jams, artisan cookies, mouse stuffing, etc. Again on board our tourist transport we will leave on an excursion to the Nietto winery in Ica. There we will know the process of making the pisco. In the winery Fundo Tres Esquinas we will also know the wine making process (including tasting). Then we will continue the route towards the traditional city of Chincha. There, in addition to tasting different types of wines and piscos, we will visit a folk dance workshop where the Peruvian cajon is the main musical instrument. At 6 pm we will board tourist transport again to make the return journey to the city of Lima. The tour ends with the transfer to the tourist's hotel at approximately 10.45 pm.
