The day is divided into three parts. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” From here, there is a zip-lining options to get you down to the next part of our day at the river. Had an amazing time. And wonderful tour guide.
Such an incredible experience! Our tour guide Danny was awesome, he made sure we were all taken care of throughout the day, and he also provided bits of interesting information. Our driver Nico also did a great job getting us there and back safely. The full day experience is a must for Tolantongo! Make sure to bring cash as card is not accepted there.
Very well organized, and plenty of time at each of the stops. The sights were so incredibly beautiful - we never imagined there would be a place like this in Mexico. Tania was such an accommodating, sweet, and funny guide… and a great communicator pre/during/post trip. Exceeded all expectations!
Place was beautiful, our guide Alejandro was very nice. Food and drinks were good, and prices were fair.
Had a fantastic time! Our guide was super friendly, funny, and encouraged us to mingle which was important for a solo traveller. Though it was a long day away the time flew by as it was so much fun. Would definitely recommend.
Tania and Santiago were great host made sure entire party was together and involved in all activities. Highly recomend it
Our tour guide was Carlos - along with the driver Nico. The experience itself was wonderful - and so worth it - whether you’re solo, with a partner, friends, family. Be prepared for a long day. Drive there feels fast - drive home can feel like an eternity. Be prepared with what you need ahead of time - but there are also several spots to get what you need (sunscreen, drinks, swimwear, etc). Breakfast/lunch was great. I suggest bringing some sort of backpack to consolidate your items (especially with limited space in the car). Bus/ transportation was not very comfortable. Seats were quite narrow - and water was leaking through into the car in various places as it was raining. Despite these external factors outside of the guide/drivers control - the service, education and experience made it well worth it. You can tell how much hard work and love is put into this trip, and wanting us to experience as much as we can. Thank you guys so much!
It was a long day but absolutely worth it! This place is magical, views are stunning and our tour guides Lalo and Chacha were incredible! You must try the zip line, we loved it!!
We took a tour from Mexico City to Tolantongo Hot Springs, and it was an amazing experience. Pickup was easy, we had the option to be picked up from our Airbnb but chose to meet at the designated meeting point instead. Our guide, Charlie, made coordination simple and we had zero issues with logistics. The hot springs themselves were incredible, but the caves were the real highlight for us. We’ve travelled all over the world, seen many beautiful things, but the waterfalls and caves are one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. Pictures do not even come close to the magnitude of what you will experience. If you have the time, get up early and do this. You will NOT regret it. Charlie made sure we had all the required gear to enjoy them safely. Our driver, Nico, did a great job navigating the chaos of Mexico City traffic. Two tips: read all the information carefully, as the hot springs are cash only. They do mention this beforehand, but we missed it, so don’t make our mistake! Additionally, the trip is bouncy and curvy, so if you get motion sickness be prepared as napping will not be an option. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.
This was a superbly organized full day trip down to the hot springs of Tolantongo. TuroTours thought of everything and took care of everything. Damian Hawk was an excellent tour guide. He explained a lot about Mexico and the area. The tour gave us a backpack with towel, waterproof phone case, cave lights - all the essentials. The timing of the tour was perfect. We spent enough time in each area - pools, waterfall/cave, river- which was all warm water from the springs. Altogether about 5-1/2 hours in the water. Everyone pre-ordered their lunches and the lunch was also very tasty. The driver set up our whole picnic area with tables and chairs at the river. They catered to our every need. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Mexico City. I highly recommend this tour.
