Great guide who makes sure you get the BEST experience

Saed is a great guide, and I love that he really encouraged us to see everything in our itinerary. My jet lag was really intense; the easiest thing for him to do would be to rush the tour. Instead, he checked in, made sure I felt okay, and encouraged us to keep going so we could see the best parts. I'm so glad we did because the museum that showcased all of the architecture of local tribes was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were so hungry by the end, Saed recommended a great place and had lunch with us, we appreciated the conversation. He is one of the best tour guides I have ever had, maybe even the best! Thanks Saed.

I had an amazing day trip...

I had an amazing day trip through Dar es Salaam! From start to finish, everything was well organized, and I got to experience the city’s rich culture, history, and beautiful scenery. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour both fun and informative, sharing interesting facts while making sure I was comfortable throughout the day. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond for me. He made an additional stop so I could pick up my luggage that had been lost, which wasn’t part of the itinerary. That level of kindness, flexibility, and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier, and I truly appreciated the extra effort. The itinerary was well planned, giving me enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. I especially loved exploring the local markets, learning about the city’s history, and experiencing the vibrant culture of Dar es Salaam. If you’re visiting Tanzania and want a great introduction to the city, I highly recommend this tour. Exceptional service, a fantastic guide, and an unforgettable experience—I would definitely book with them again!

Full day of exploring Dar with Mr Saed

5/5 stars! I highly recommend Mr Saed to see Dar. The pace was managed to suit me and we went to places that I was most interested in. I will definitely tell my friends to contact Mr Saed for their travels. His van car is spacious, clean and very comfortable.

Must do tour to feel Dar es Salaam

Our tour with Saed Vato was nothing short of wonderful and impressive—a rich journey through an incredible variety of places. Saed speaks excellent English and possesses a deep understanding of the country’s culture, mindset, history, and contemporary life. The tour lasted a full 10 hours, generously exceeding the promised 6–8. The driving was calm and comfortable throughout, so I happily arranged with Saed for airport transportation the next day (for an additional fee, which was well worth it). I particularly loved the visit to the church. The vibrant fish market was a feast for the senses, and a stop at a charming beach café for coffee or a local beer, followed by a leisurely stroll along the shore, was simply lovely. Saed is a wonderfully attentive guide who tailors both the route and his stories to the client. He speaks openly about many complex issues facing modern Dar es Salaam and Tanzania, including painful moments in history. Having grown up in the city, he knows it intimately—and it’s clear he speaks of it with genuine affection. Yet at no point does the experience feel like a stiff, memorized script. There’s no pushiness, no artificial itinerary. I have not a single regret about the money spent on this tour. It was absolutely worth it, and I would wholeheartedly recommend both the tour and Saed as a guide to anyone visiting Dar es Salaam. My warmest thanks and greetings to Saed!

Dar City Tour

The tour gave us a flavour of Tanzania and Dar. Thank you to Mzee Vumbi and Mr Saed for a great experience with lots of insights and information about the history, culture and traditions of the city and country. Our family (3 generations) enjoyed our time with you. The kids liked the Village museum especially. We wish you the very best for the future.

Horny fish market

The day trip in Dar es Salaam was overall very pleasant. The pickup was extremely punctual at the hotel, and the driver/guide was a very nice and sympathetic guy. The car was high quality, clean and comfortable, which made the ride very enjoyable. The program was interesting, but unfortunately the visit to the Tingatinga Art Center and the one-hour stay at Kariakoo Market were skipped – that was a bit of a shame. Price-wise, the private excursion was absolutely fine, and the highlight was clearly the lively fish market, which offered an authentic insight into local life. Overall a recommended excursion with small reductions in the program.

Good half day experience

Nice tour with Saed showing us highlights of Daressalam. Family of 5 persons, arriving from Zanzibar. Saed picked us up at the ferry, nice tout through the city and drop off at the airport. Absolutely to recommend, as Saed has a lot of knowledge and a very nice and friendly person. Luc
