Itinerary
Karnak is an ancient Egyptian temple precinct located on the east bank of the Nile River in Thebes (modern-day Luxor). It covers more than 100 hectares, an area larger than some ancient cities.
Constructed over hundreds of years by Amenhotep III, Ramses II, Tutankhamun, and other pharaohs, Luxor Temple was the largest and most significant religious center in ancient Egypt. In what was then Thebes, Luxor Temple was “the place of the First Occasion,” where the god Amon experienced rebirth during the pharaoh’s annually reenacted coronation ceremony.
The west bank of Luxor had been the site of royal burials since around 2100 BC, but it was the pharaohs of the New Kingdom period (1550–1069 BC) who chose this isolated valley dominated by the pyramid-shaped mountain peak of Al Qurn (The Horn). Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh, or the Place of Truth, the Valley of the Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs.
At Deir Al Bahri, the eyes first focus on the dramatic rugged limestone cliffs that rise nearly 300m above the desert plain, only to realise that at the foot of all this immense beauty lies a monument even more extraordinary, the dazzling Temple of Hatshepsut. The almost-modern-looking temple blends in beautifully with the cliffs from which it is partly cut – a marriage made in heaven. Most of what you see has been painstakingly reconstructed.

Great experience & I learned alot
Ahmed was great. We went to two temple he was very knowledgeable, kind, courteous and allowed us to take rest to cool down from the mid day heat. I will recommend my friends and family to book with Ahmed in the future.
Mohamed our guide was a jewel. He was knowledgeable, but more than that he was kind and caring, always concerned about our well being and enjoyment. We toured with him for 3 days from Aswan to Luxor and had a great experience. I would most certainly book with him as our guide for all future visits to Egypt.
Mohamad met us in Aswan and stayed with us until Luxor. He’s an excellent guide and speaks very good English. he was knowledgeable about the sites we visited and he took care of us beyond our expectations. He made sure we were safe and always had enough water to drink.I can’t say enough good things about .
Our trip to Luxor and Aswan was great! Thanks to Mr Ahmed Awad, everything was a breeze. He had brought us to places that we had planned to go without any problems. Everything went smoothly without any delays. He is a friendly, helpful and patient guide and very knowledgeable as well. Thank you Mr Ahmed.
Abdul in Luksor was our excellent guide - good at imparting knowledge and very good at quickly getting to the most interesting places
Azab the best tour guide ever I enjoyed the tour with him very highly recommend this tour company and the temples romps and Karnak Temple is the most amazing place very beautiful and amazing place ever
We had an excellent experience with Dr. Azab, and I truly believe with his guidance, knowledge, and hospitality it was the highest level experience one could wish for. We started our journey at the Luxor temple in the morning with no other groups around. It felt like we had an extra private VIP experience with how calm and peaceful exploring the temple was. Next we visited the Karnak Temple. This temple was much larger. Therefore the maximization of our time and energy by having Dr. Azab guide us was monumental. Not only did we learn a lot, but balanced our experience with time to wander and enjoy ourselves. Finally, we arrived at the Valley of the Kings and the Hatshepsut temple. Having an outstanding guide like Dr. Azab not only gave us peace of mind that my mother and I were well taken care of, but also made the transition thru each tomb area smooth as silk. Our Egyptian lunch was also exceptional. Having our taste buds ride the flavor waves of Egypt was truly a blessing. I would highly recommend Dr. Azab and Jakada tours to friends and family! I’m looking forward to returning to Egypt some day soon and booking another private tour. Mahalo again for the kindness of Egypt and everyone who made this experience truly unforgettable 🙏❤️
We were escorted by a private tour guide, Azab who is a Doctor of Egyptology and history of Ancient Egypt. He has explained throughly about each site where we visited and answered all questions we asked during the tour. Not only he was an excellent tour guide, but he was also a very friendly and caring person. I enjoyed listening to his philosophy towards the life and his lectures about the Egyptian culture was very interesting. He inspired me with his deeper knowledge and worldly views how people should value and live their lives. He is a genuine Naturalist, I think. We took many y pictures together. He showed us so many great spot to take photos.
This tour was extremely fulfilling. Going in June was very hot, but many precautions were taken to make sure I was comfortable and hydrated, even in the afternoon heat. Azab was my tour guide and he was very knowledgeable of all of the sights. I am walking away with such a plethora of knowledge that he has learned throughout his life and career. He made sure that I felt safe and was happy at all times. He helped me maneuver through vendors and crowds. I would highly recommend having him as a guide. As for the sights, they were fabulous! Such history is stored in these places that it feels surreal! You must visit Luxor!
