Itinerary
Start with a pickup in a minivan or bus from your hotel in Cusco (starting at approximately 5:30 a.m.) and travel to Ollantaytambo station on a 1 hour and a half ride to board the train to Aguas Calientes. This train station is located in the town of Ollantaytambo, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here you will board your train to the next train Station (Aguas Calientes). If you book in the Tourist category, you can travel on the Expedition or Voyager train and if you book in the Superior category, you can travel on the Vistadome or 360° train, depending on availability. The train has ample seats with large windows allowing for grand views of the surrounding jungle and mountains
Known as Machu Picchu town, it is the closest town to the Machu Picchu National Park and the site of the last train station. This town is pedestrian and after arriving you will cross the local Indian market where you can appreciate peruvian handicrafts. If you need to go to the bathrooms, recharge your cell phone, store your things and carry what you need, you can go to the Lima Tours office in Aguas Calientes and our staff will assist you. Then, our guide will contact you and the other passengers, to take you to the bus station and board the bus that will take you to Machu Picchu in a 25-minute trip.
The "lost city of the Incas" is the reason why thousands of people arrive in Peru. Hidden among the vegetation, get closer to our past through its rooms, temples, bridges, and religious sites, built in communion with the surrounding landscape. Take a 2.5-hour guided tour of the site which explains the origins behind this awe-inspiring citadel and its most prominent landmarks. Consider that to preserve the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, as well as its condition as World Heritage, the Ministry of Culture has established a maximum of 4 hours per person to stay in the Sanctuary. After the guided tour, you can stay on your own until completing the maximum time established or return to Aguas Calientes. Depending on the time of entry of your ticket, you can have lunch before or after the tour. Our staff will inform you before the tour.

Wonderful experience! Oscar very knowledgeable and passionate
This tour went through two distinct moments: The first one was absolutely annoying. The night before I got a message from the operator asking me to go down to Plaza de Armas for pick up (which is understandable given the most complicated access area where my hotel was) and be there at a certain time. The next day, fifteen minutes before my schedule I was being bombarded by messages and phone calls rushing me to reach the meeting point. Despite all the lack of running air, unusual with the altitude, I arrived BEFORE the scheduled time and was received as if I had been late for hours. When I reserve this for the guide, I only got one expression of deboche and a whisper when I turned my back to get into the van. At no time have they admitted their mistake in communicating the correct time or for the unfair (to say the least) treatment waived. The episode could have been sour for the rest of the day. Fortunately, the other people and guides involved in the other stages of the activity surpassed in making the experience positively unforgettable. Our guide in Macchu Picchu, Alex, was extraordinary, showed himself patient, attentive, friendly to us and gave us a wonderful historical, cultural and human view, and that surely added a lot to our experience. I did circuit 2 (classic) without difficulties and without feeling the time passing. All the other directions regarding the arrival of the train in Ollantaytambo, the time available in Aguas Calientes and the bus to Macchu Picchu were quite clear, as well as on the way back, however, given the unpleasant experience of the early morning, I arrived much earlier than the scheduled times, afraid of missing some stretch of the return or getting upset again. The restaurant in Aguas Calientes for lunch was also wonderful, tasty food, attentive service, very pleasant environment, everything very organized and of good taste. I would undoubtedly return to Macchu Picchu and all the experience that followed to that initial moment was irreversible and unforgettable, but of course Lima Tour has a lot to learn in dealing with the customer, especially in reviewing the correct information and in a minimum of education of some of its employees. That initial moment could have ruined everything.
I wanted to highlight the kindness of Janet who passed us by our hotel in Aguas Calientes and joined us in the line of the Machu Picchu bus. It is what a tourist is looking for when traveling, thank you Janet!

The Lima Tours representatives have been unresponsive via email and their listed whats app number,l when requesting modification to my reservation. I am hoping this review will encourage them to reach back to me.
Everything was perfect. Our tour was without lunch but our guide, Huber, recommended a great place for lunch. Everything went as planned. They picked us up at the hotel on time. The train that goes from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes is very nice. We went on the 360 and the views are beautiful. Punctual and with good service. We had a guide who had a lot of information to share and taught us a lot during the 2:30 hour tour. I recommend the company!
Estamos contentos de que el tour se haya desarrollado según lo planeado. Nos alegra saber que Huber fue de gran ayuda, porque nos esmeramos por dar los mejores servicios. ¡Gracias por recomendar nuestros servicios!
Tour was wonderful from beginning to end. We went from Cusco to Ollantaytambo in a super clean and organized van, listened to various information through the guide. From there he directed us to the train station, where we picked up the Vistodrame which is absolutely beautiful. Arriving in Aguas Calientes, there was another guide waiting for us to go to the restaurant. Very good food and service 10! A third guide picked us up at the restaurant and from there our whole tour went with her. A very dear woman, attentive to the details and full of knowledge to pass on. It was one of the best experiences in Peru!

Truly recommend this trip to everyone who is fed up with the modern consumption world. A magic spiritual place, very well organised tour from the very first minute, starts from picking up from your hotel, till last one. The guide who accompanied us - MARCO, was very helpful, incredibly knowledgeable and prepared to answer every single question we had, regarding not only Maccu Picchu but also about Peru history, traditions and culture. This add a lot of additional value to our trip. About the place and the feelings that it brought is difficult to write, they need to be experienced individually.
Excellent experience, on Friday the 24th the excursion with the guide Julio Cesar al Machu Picchu. The Tour was super organized, the Enterprise respected all schedules and the timing was perfect. The excellent visit, a friendly guide who not only explained about the ruins but also knew how to tell us about the spirit of a people who dedicated themselves to astronomy and knew how to agree "barter" with the other peoples that were part of Tahuantinsuyo. Not only that, but he took us to the strategic locations to take the perfect photos. Lunch was the golden snap, in one of the best restaurants, Inkaterra, we had à la carte lunch (starter, background and dessert). Thanks Lima Tours!!! Thank you Julio Cesar!! It was a perfect experience!!!!
The Lima Tour to Machu Picchu was perfect. Super organized, they picked us up on time at the hotel, assisted us throughout the journey to Machu Picchu and there was a guide who accompanied us. Finally, we had lunch at an excellent restaurant in the region (hot waters) and returned to Cusco. I have nothing to complain about. For all service and Service, it was worth every penny we paid...
