Florence was great and the leaning tower of Pisa was great. Our guide did not have a sign so it took 30 minutes to find him. Also he walked extremely fast through a sea of people and had no sign to find him by so we were constantly concerned we would lose him or lm the others in our group would be lost. We were then given 2.5 hours to wander around Florence with no direction or ideas of what to do. So basically we ate and sweated trying to avoid the sun for 2.5 hours. Then we went to the tower and had 25 minutes including a decent walk there and back. I would reccomend going with a more organized company then JAT. Today we got off our cruise ship for a tour designed for cruise Travellers and found the person with a sign and we were told to walk a kilometer to find the next person with a sign.that person cam about 25 minutes of walking later.outside of the cruise port altogether. Now we have been sitting on a hot bus for 20 minutes our tour was supposed to start 15 minutes ago and clearly when it is over I have a 25 minute walk back to my ship to dread all day long. JAT is not organized nor professional to this point.
We understand that your disappointment may have stemmed from expecting the guide and the group to reduce the tour pace to match your individual walking speed. Please note that the “Additional Information” section of the tour description clearly states that this tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for guests with limited walking ability such as yourself. This is why, at all the stops, you were behind the group missing your guide. Regarding the itinerary, it was delivered exactly as advertised, including the scheduled free time in Florence. When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, itinerary, inclusions, and restrictions rather than on personal assumptions.
