Hanoi and Ha Long Bay tour

Had a great couple of days with our tour guide Tom. His English was good and we could communicate fine. He is a nice young man. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and provided some great info about what we were going to see and do without being pushy. We had private transportation and private tours just for my Fiance and I. While I thought the price was a little expensive we did enjoy both tours and had full days. We got to kinda make up the schedule for what we were interested in staying inline with what they offer of course, We explored the gem of a city, Hanoi. We went to the temple of literature, had famous egg coffee on train street, walked around the tranquil Hoan kiem lake and went into the temple and had some drinks on beer street in the evening which was fun!!! Next, we got to see the breathtaking Ha Long Bay. We tried some authentic meals, got to see some neat landmarks and felt safe the entire time. We were just in port for a short time, as we were on a cruise but made the most of our days being full of adventure and sightseeing. Ha Long Bay was epic! We got to kayak and see cute monkeys on the shore, explored a cave (I would have liked more time kayaking but you never know until you do all the things), walked up the steep steps to the top of tiptop (view was lovely) and cooled off in the water at the beach. Had the boat to ourselves and had a lunch served while heading back to the cruise terminal. I’d recommend these two tours and Tom because he was great! We also had no worries with being on a cruise ship and making it back on time to disembark which made us feel at ease.
