Full Day Guided Trip to Valle Nevado & Farellones from Santiago

We will leave Santiago to visit Valle Nevado and Farellones with snow where you can explore and enjoy. SUMMER (September 1, 2026 to May 2027) This experience will take you to enjoy the best views and landscapes of the Andes Mountains. We will travel along a mountain road, reaching approximately 3,000 meters above sea level, from where we can appreciate the imposing mountain range and its peaks. Along the way, we will stop at a mountain viewpoint, where you will have time to take photographs of the incredible scenery. Then we will continue our journey to the country's premier ski resort, Valle Nevado, where you will have time to walk and enjoy the landscape. Afterward, we will visit El Colorado, and to end the day, we will head to Farellones before returning to Santiago.

This ski center is the main mountain resort in the Andes Mountains and is open all year round. Valle Nevado, the largest ski center in South America, is located 46 kilometers east of Santiago de Chile. It has an excellent quality of snow, due to its height and orientation and a privileged climate, with 80% of clear days in the season. The history of Valle Nevado begins in 1987 and in 1988 the doors of this ski center opened, located in the middle of the Andes, inspired by the Les Arcs winter resort and the winter resorts of France. Since 1998, Valle Nevado began to develop as a comprehensive center and in 2001 the Andes Express chairlift was inaugurated, the first detachable lift in South America, which distinguishes it from other ski centers in the region.
Nestled in a valley in the Andes, Farellones has numerous wooden houses and cabins, which give it a village atmosphere. Its cable car system takes winter sports lovers to the ski slopes of Cerro El Colorado, serving families and beginner and experienced skiers. In summer, outdoor adventure fans can follow the biking and hiking trails, and go ziplining. The neighborhood has rustic hotels and nice restaurants.

This tour takes place in the winter season from June to August where you can see Snow, the tour does not include entrance fees or additional tickets and does not allow time for ski lessons at Valle Nevado. Pick-ups are carried out in central areas of the Santiago Centro, Providencia, and Las Condes communes; for neighboring areas, a drop-off point will be provided. Those who wish to stay in Farellones Park can purchase their ticket, enter, and then leave the park between 2:50 and 3:00 p.m., all by prior arrangement with the guide. The voucher schedule is an estimate 1 day before at 8:00 p.m. you will be sent the exact pick-up times and name of the guide. Please inform Hotel, exact address and WhatsApp number, it is very important that you add this information in the reservation. Important Information in Winter: The tour route may be subject to changes due to weather, traffic, or changes made by the authorities or the Nalle Nevado ski resort, the ascent or visit to the resort is subject to information received from both parties. If it is not possible to go up to the resort, the guide will choose the best option to avoid affecting the experience.

I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience with TAC Turismo was absolutely horrific. We booked a family tour to Valle Nevado and Farellones for Saturday. We spent the entire afternoon trying to reach them starting at 2:38 PM via phone, texts, and WhatsApp to confirm our pickup point. TripAdvisor support even attempted to call them at 2:35 PM. They ignored us for hours. Finally, I managed to communicate with them. But after many messages only at 9:50 PM just hours before the trip was scheduled to start, they messaged me to say, "Pero no tengo cupos" (But I don't have available spots). They illegally overbooked the tour and held our money hostage, pressuring us to change our plans to Sunday, which we could not do. When I demanded that they cancel the reservation in the system so I could get my money back, they acted in complete bad faith: at 9:59 PM, they literally DELETED their own WhatsApp messages where they admitted they were overbooked to try and hide the evidence from TripAdvisor. Fortunately, I took screenshots of everything before they deleted them, and TripAdvisor is now officially investigating this company. They ruined our family's weekend, wasted our valuable time, and acted with zero ethics. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They sell seats they do not have and then cover their tracks by erasing messages. Completely unprofessional and untrustworthy.
It was a wonderful trip in the direction of the very competent driver Claudio, with a lot of punctuality. The biggest highlight for us was the guide Pauli. Very cute!!! Sensational humor A Portuguese better than ours. A contagious smile! Perfect explanations at every stop. There was a boring Brazilian criticizing the Chilean potatoes, but she knew how to run everything with a very good mood

Wonderful tour, where we meet the ski stations of the Andes, closing with a delicious picnic contemplating the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life! The guide, Alejandro, is of an unparalleled sympathy, attentive, funny and very knowledgeable of the region, giving tips from other places in Chile. Super recommend!
