We were only two days in Cairo. On the first day, we did the tour of the Giza pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis. During the tour, they picked us up at the accommodation very punctually; we visited these monuments in that order, entered the Menkaure pyramid (entrance extra), and also visited a papyrus factory. Ahmed Abdellatif, our guide, was very kind to us and spoke Spanish very well. At the end of the tour, we went to eat a very delicious meal with good views that was included (not the drink, but it is cheap).
The day started off great. Our airport liaison was excellent, thank you Ayman. We were met with Moodi outside the airport and it was initially a great vibe while he drove us from the airport to the pyramids in Cairo. During this hour long drive Moodi said he didn’t like Africans (I am an African from America). He said he didn’t like that Africans take credit from ancient Egyptian culture. When none of us reacted positively to his comments he asked if I was African, I said yes. He said I shouldn’t tell anyone in Egypt I was African because Africans come to Egypt and destroy the country. This made me very sad. We arrived at the pyramids and had a great time with our other guide Mahmoud who took us to the GEM as well. Mahmoud is very lovely and intelligent and kind and thoughtful. He had great knowledge of heritage and history. But then Moodi came back and took us to the Felucca and the market. For the rest of the day he would say he wanted to kill me off. He threatened to throw me in the river so crocodiles would eat me instead of my friends (who are not African), he said he would toss me off a cliff. And that I would be killed violently several times. Not sure if it’s a cultural difference but singling out the only African in a group of friends and threatening to kill them is not acceptable. He, Moodi, ruined our experience. We enjoyed everything about this tour company and our day. Our driver Mustafa was amazing too, very kind and friendly. Be warned about Moodi.
A great day with Omar and Mohammed. We felt very safe and welcome. Both were were kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend and book again 😊
Had an absolutely incredible experience with Cairo Top Tours—easily one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt. A special thank you to Rouina, Omar, and Mahmoud for making the experience truly exceptional. Their knowledge, professionalism, and genuine hospitality stood out at every step. We love to travel and Egypt is the best desktop go highly recommended
Kenyan and Egyptians are sons of the Nile we share a lot of culture and history and we love the pyramids and all the sites in Egypt
It was a fantastic experience. Great organization, a complete and very well-structured tour aboard a mini bus led with excellence by the driver Sayed. The guide Mohamed Salah excellent knowledge of Egyptian history explained everything to us in an interesting and engaging way. Tour leader Farouq Omar very attentive to the group giving all support, taking photos, offering water and helping the elderly get up and down the bus and helping everyone to buy souvenirs made the tour even more special. Knowing the main sights of Cairo and learning about Egyptian culture with qualified professionals, very competent and fun was amazing. I recommend!
We had an amazing experience in Cairo thanks to our guide, Hesham. He was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. He explained everything in a very interesting and easy-to-understand way, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the tour.
We spent a few days in Egypt, and thanks to Antonella's professionalism, who tailored various excursions for us, our vacation was fantastic! The tour leader Hamed and the driver Shreif were always kind and helpful. Thanks to our guide Sayed, we learned and saw many things: from the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the archaeological sites of Saqqara, Memphis, Dahshur... a knowledgeable guide attentive to all our needs! We concluded the trip with a delightful dinner on a cruise on the Nile. Heartfelt thanks to Antonella for her patience and to Top Cairo Tours :)
Omar the coordinator was great, communicative, and on time. The tour guide Ahkmed was excellent, I had him all to myself which was wonderful. Really is necessary to get a guide, otherwise you miss out of so much context and the museum can be overwhelming without him. He even through in extras like a spice market since we had extra time. The only problem was the museum moved to the new Gtand Museum, which cost $20 more, they need to update their itinerary. In addition there was a $6 extra fee to go into the actual pyramid, which was worth it but unexpected. Do not go in their if you have back problems or breathing problems, it is very cramped, and the air feels used up. Just don't think about the 4,000 year old structure of 2.3m stones over your head and you won't panic.
