It is a palace located in front of the Plaza de Mayo that functions as the seat of the National Government. This imposing pink building occupies the site where the Fort of Buenos Aires was erected in 1580. It was the residence of Spanish viceroys and then housed, with some reforms, the authorities of the successive national governments. The current building is the product of the merger of two previous constructions: the presidential headquarters and the Palacio de Correos (on the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Balcarce).
Avenida de Mayo, an important thoroughfare in Buenos Aires that encapsulates the history of the city. From the emblematic Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada to the imposing National Congress, this avenue will surprise you with its architecture from the late 19th century.
It is the main seat of the Catholic Church of Argentina. In addition to being located in a key area of the City of Buenos Aires, it has a long history of disappointments in its construction. The current building is the sixth construction that has been carried out in this place since the second foundation of the City of Buenos Aires. Its final structure is neoclassical and has a profile rarely used in cathedrals, giving it a closer resemblance to a Greek temple than to the classic Catholic building.
Caminito, the famous pedestrian street in Buenos Aires. Located in the colorful neighborhood of La Boca, Caminito is known for its painted houses and rich cultural history. Along this 150-meter curved street, you will find works of art and a lively atmosphere. Discover the history of Italian immigrants, enjoy Argentine tango and taste the delicious local cuisine. Let yourself be surprised by the hidden treasures that you will find and enjoy the authenticity of San Telmo in every corner of the market.

Located in the exclusive neighborhood of Recoleta, this place is an essential stop for visitors. The Recoleta Cemetery owes its name to the former convent of the Recoletos monks and to the neighboring Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar. It is the most visited cemetery in the city due to its imposing mausoleums and vaults, which house prominent figures in Argentine history. Among them, the famous mausoleum of Eva Perón (Evita) stands out. In addition to its historical value, the cemetery is also an architectural display of the time when the country was an emerging economic powerhouse, with wealthy families competing to build splendid cemeteries. We had the most delightful day with our guide (and new friend!). Alex was so knowledgeable and passionate about Buenos Aires, its history, culture, and everything in between. From pick up to drop off, we felt like we had a friend showing us all the best locations around Buenos Aires. Thank you!!
What a great day touring this amazing City with Pablo, who was both very informative and personable. Pablo Just about covered everything interesting in Buenos Aires and included a leisurely cruise around the Tigre Delta. We were even lucky enough to follow the changing of the guard ceremony at the mausoleum of General Don José de San Martín.
Hello! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a great day with Pablo exploring Buenos Aires and the Tigre Delta—such a beautiful combination. Catching the changing of the guard at General San Martín’s mausoleum is always a special and memorable moment, and we’re so glad you experienced it! We truly appreciate your feedback and would love to be part of your next adventure in Argentina
We are so grateful that Argentina Highlights was willing and able to reschedule our tour date as a result of our later than expected arrival in Buenos Aires. Much appreciated this above and beyond service. In addition, we were paired with an excellent guide, Daniel, who took such care to make sure we were able to achieve a fantastic visit to his city. That even included two unscheduled stops to enable us to purchase items we wished to have to remember our visit. We could not be happier with our experience and would recommend Argentina Highlights with our highest enthusiasm.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re really glad we could assist with rescheduling your tour—it’s always our priority to make things as smooth as possible for our guests. We’re especially happy to hear that Daniel made your visit so memorable and took the time to personalize your experience, even including those special extra stops. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!
We added 2 additional friends to our tour. A mini van was then added which was expensive but was nice to have all of us on the same tour. We paid for 9 hours of touring which is what the website said but they pushed us into 7 hours which was unfair for the price. We enjoyed what we did see but some items were missed based on losing the 2 hours advertised. Our tour guide spend a fair bit of time on his phone vs talking to us about what we were seeing which took away from the experience.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the places you were able to visit and that the minivan allowed your whole group to tour together. We’re sorry to hear that the tour length and guide engagement did not fully meet your expectations. Your comments are very important to us, and we will review them with our team to keep improving our experiences. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
Our driver/guide Ariel was great. He showed us a both the usual tourist places and also let us experience the lesser known areas of Buenos Aires. He was friendly, had good language skills, and was very accomodating to all of our requests.

It’s great to know he made the experience comfortable and personalized for you. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon!
Wow, what a fabulous day! We saw all the sights of the city and were not pressured for time. Muhammed was knowledgeable and interesting and very easy to understand. The tour was very personal and we spent time where we wanted. In the afternoon we had a great boat ride on the Tigre Delta and more stops after that. The day really felt like a trip out with a friend and we would highly recommend it. We were only in Buenos Aires for a short time so needed to make the most of it. This tour did exactly that. Thank you Muhammed for a great day out 😀

We had a wonderful day seeing a lot of what Buenos Aires had to offer. Alejandro was extremely friendly, flexible, well informed and interesting, and made our day both engaging, rewarding and memorable. He did a great job at accommodating our travel constraints and our special requests. He went over and above to make things comfortable for two elderly family members who were traveling with us. He made great recommendations when we were facing options. Thank you for making our visit to Buenos Aires special!
