Discover the timeless beauty of Nikko National Park, where sacred shrines, dramatic waterfalls, and mountain landscapes come together in one unforgettable journey. Visit the UNESCO-listed Toshogu Shrine, admire the powerful Kegon Falls, and enjoy scenic views of Lake Chuzenji surrounded by lush forests. Experience the perfect blend of culture, history, and nature just a short trip from Tokyo.
One of Nikko’s most scenic viewpoints. Ride the Akechidaira Ropeway to the top and enjoy sweeping vistas of Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls, and the surrounding mountains — especially stunning during the autumn foliage season.
This scenic lake offers 25 km of nature, walking trails, and boat excursions. Explore seasonal beauty, from cherry blossoms to autumn foliage, and glimpse historic summer villas once used by foreign diplomats.
Witness the 97-meter cascade from Lake Chuzenji, one of Nikko’s most famous waterfalls. A special lift brings you to the base, where the roar of the water is truly impressive, especially surrounded by seasonal scenery.
A beautifully preserved retreat that once housed Japan’s imperial family. Blending Edo, Meiji, and Taishō architectural styles, the villa features over 100 rooms surrounded by tranquil gardens and maple trees. It offers a rare glimpse into imperial life and traditional craftsmanship, set amid Nikko’s serene natural landscape.
Discover why Nikko is described as “magnificent” while visiting the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. This UNESCO World Heritage site features 55 buildings, including 8 national treasures, with stunning lacquered carvings and colorful artistry. Don’t miss the iconic Sleeping Cat and the Three Wise Monkeys!
The spiritual center of Nikko and home to its most sacred Buddhist treasures. Founded in the 8th century, this UNESCO-listed temple houses the magnificent Three Great Buddha statues representing Amida, Senju-Kannon, and Bato-Kannon. Surrounded by ancient cedars, Rinnō-ji offers a peaceful atmosphere that beautifully contrasts the ornate shrines nearby.
Nikko’s iconic “Sacred Bridge,” where deep-red lacquered arches stretch gracefully over the clear blue waters of the Daiya River. Once reserved only for shoguns and priests, this UNESCO-listed landmark marks the entrance to Nikko’s holy shrines and temples. Framed by lush mountains and flowing water, the bridge offers one of Japan’s most picture-perfect and symbolic views — a serene reminder of the harmony between spirit, nature, and tradition.
Step back in time at Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, where the world of samurai, ninja, and geisha comes to life. Wander through authentic Edo-period streets, watch live ninja and samurai performances, and interact with costumed townspeople in this immersive historical theme park. Dress up in traditional attire, explore old merchant houses, and experience the culture and excitement of Japan’s samurai era in a fun and interactive setting.
a serene riverside gorge created by ancient volcanic activity. Lined with rows of moss-covered Jizo statues, protectors of travelers and children, this peaceful trail offers a quiet escape from the crowds. Great trip to Nikko with beautiful shrines. Amazing experience.
Shani made our visit to Nikko both seamless and enjoyable. The city itself is stunning, and its shrines are truly unmissable. It turned out to be the perfect destination for a one-day trip.
Very beautiful place ! Very impressive temples and nature !
Rana was great. It was a phenomenal tour one location after the other everything was perfect. When I wanted to make some last-minute changes it was totally fine with my guide and he did a great job explaining everything. Thank you so much
This was a fun, well-paced tour. Shani was a great tour guide and helped orient us so we knew where to go and where to meet back up. He also shared a lot of history of the Nikko area, which was interesting to hear.
Lovely to step outside of Tokyo for a day trip. Professional tour operator and great experience with our guide Shani. Very comfortable car and superb driving. Got to learn a lot about Japan, the local culture and about multiple things that came on the way from Shani. We had a great time. Will try doing it again in a different season for different views. Thank you!
Amazing great experience wonderful tour guide
We had such an amazing experience on our customized Nikko tour. The day was perfectly balanced with nature, culture, food, and relaxation. We visited a beautiful waterfall, explored a stunning temple and shrine, walked through an incredibly peaceful garden, and learned so much throughout the day. Our guide encouraged questions and made the history and meaning behind each place feel personal and interesting instead of rushed or scripted. We also stopped for lunch at a delicious gyoza and ramen house that felt authentic and local, which made the experience even better. To top it all off, Roshan kindly drove us directly to our dinner reservations afterward, which made the day stress free and seamless. The company’s communication from beginning to end was excellent responsive, organized, and very accommodating. Roshan was absolutely exceptional. Friendly, patient, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing Japan with us. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable day and made us feel welcomed the entire time. I own a tour company in Alaska and I would say i would hire Roshan for his amazing guide etiquette. Honestly, Roshan was one of the best guides we had while traveling. Highly recommend this tour and especially Roshan if you have the chance request him and this company.
