From Sorrento/Nerano:Capri Shared Tour (9:15am Boat Departure)

I would recommend this tour to everyone. Cooperative SAntonio are very organised to get you to Capri. They organise a coach for a small extra fee but its so worth it to avoid queues at the funicular railway or buses. You get an hour and a half in Capri then they take you to Anacapri with more time for lunch. Ends with a tour round the island. This is our second year doing the trip and made our holiday.

An excellent boat trip from start to finish! Me and my partner booked this from a recommendation and we are so glad we did. The boys organising the tour couldn’t be more helpful, no question was too much. They provided us with lots of information about the island and what to do and what to avoid. We would recommend purchasing tickets for their shuttle bus as this helped to skip queues and gain the most free time from your visit. They recommended a restaurant in anacapri to eat, go there, the food is incredible! Highly recommend this trip and thank you for making our trip so enjoyable and stress free!

It was a beautiful excursion made easy by the punctuality with which we were picked up already in S.Agata, where we were staying, with a van driven by the legendary "Ciro". We left right on time from Nerano, and upon arrival at Marina Grande, they offered us the chance to visit the island in a priority lane organized by them for €28. All this freed us from a Spartan organization and saved us from lines everywhere, for tickets and buses. We thought that for the time we had, it would be great! And we were right! It was really worth it! Vincenzo, the voice of the boat guide, is a great organizer and has good guys who follow him! So much kindness and smiles in repeating the information. I highly recommend this experience to everyone because with the S.Antonio cooperative you can just think about having fun, they take care of the rest!😊

I was picked up at the correct time by Rosaria, a pretty woman with amazing driving skills and taken to the port to start my Capri boat trip. The staff on the boat were very helpful and friendly. They told me where I should go to see and eat, then we went around the island to view it from the sea then back to to harbour and another exciting drive with Rosaria. Top driver 👌

Firstly the tour ran like clockwork. Punctual to the second. Clean buses and immaculate boat. The guides were informative and knowledgable. Ok so bottom line is please, please read the small print. You should know what you are actually paying for. Because I didn’t and wording is misleading. This is not a tour on capri island. It shouldn’t be called a guided tour really as you can get to capri on your own from Sorrento quite cheaply. It’s actually for being collected from your hotel, taken to the boat and then dropped off at capri marina. That’s what £76 per person gets you. At the end of the day they pick you up and go around the island by boat which was wonderful. It also leaves from Nerano so a 2 hour journey from our hotel just to get on the boat. Why? There is a perfectly good marina in Sorrento. Then once on board they start telling you all the extras I appreciate the furnicular or the chair lift as extra but being told there is an extra €28 euros to pay per person for the operator to take you on the bus from the port to capri and then on to anacapri or else you are on your own was news to me and many others too. I agreed upfront as thought surely this is included and would check with Viator later. Lots of confusion there too. Then at the end of the day caused a lot of embarrassment as they collected the money which I didn’t feel was right. In total this has cost almost £200 so choose the tour carefully and make sure it leaves from Sorrento as 4 hours of the day is spent getting to and from the port.

Perfetto! Tour guide Vincenzo and friendly crew provided the perfect "Capri Day" experience for our group, complete with transportation around the island, great advise on how to make the most of our time there, and a sightseeing cruise around the island on our way back to beautiful Nerano. It was well worth the extra fee (I think it was 18€) for the helpful tips, the shuttle service up and down the island and the wristband that got us to the front of the line for the chair lift. The reliable and easily accessible transportation alone was worth the money. Unfortunately, the Blue Grotto was closed for the 10th consecutive day when we were there. Otherwise, it was an amazing experience from start to finish, and this tour company deserves a lot credit for it. Highly recommend!

Avoid buying the wrist bands on board the boat. My family, two adults and two teenagers, took the shared tour of Capri on 24th June from Sant'Agata at a cost of €280. We unfortunately were duped into panic buying the yellow wrist band onboard for bus transfers on the island which we paid in cash back on the boat touring around the island. The guide who sounds New Zealand with a Canadian baseball cap said that bus queues on the island were long and that to pay €28 each was only €11 more expensive than queuing up each time to buy a bus ticket. Then for good measure he said that they had two passengers the day before who missed the boat and four or five the day before. He also said that they were sharks on the island that would rip us off. When we met in Anacapri he said that the best value restaurant that they go to was "Le Arcate". He said not to eat anywhere else. Most of the yellow wrist customers went to "Le Arcate". When we were there one of the three tour guides came by our table not to check on us but to do a headcount of how many yellow wrists bands they funneled into that restaurant. This restaurant had a €12 surcharge for our meal. We never paid a surcharge in Rome for eating out. The tour guide before we broke for lunch said he could organise the chairlift for €15 each ( it only costs €14) or a bus & row boat to the Blue Lagoon for €43 ( €25 for the bus and €18 for the row boat). I've since discovered that the public bus from Anacapri to the steps near the Blue Lagoon was less than €3. We unfortunately got sucked into paying €112 for three mini bus journeys. One from the marina to Capri, then one from Capri to Anacapri and then from Anacapri back to the marina. We since discovered that we could have taken three taxis for half that price! If we had bought the all day public transport ticket it would have cost even less with the option of two rides on the Funicular which our teenagers would have enjoyed far more that a basic minibus ride. We had to wait for all of the minibus rides of ten to fifteen minutes each time. It was not faster than the public transport on the island. I unfortunately trusted the tour guide on the boat. I would be hesitant to recommend anyone taking the shared tour of Capri because of what we experienced. We spent over €500 just to see the island and eat in a restaurant. We would have more free time to explore the island by using public transport and doing our own thing than to use this basic minibus service.

We have spent the day in Capri having been picked up from our hotel and transferred to the boat. It was so easy and everyone was very helpful. As we started the tour the Lead Guide talked about Capri and what the day would entail, he was knowledgeable and entertaining it was a pleasure to listen to him! As part of the trip we could purchase a ticket which would give us access to a minibus which would take us to Capri and Anacapri, this was amazing as it stopped us having to negotiate different buses, something we did not even know we would have to do! We eventually ended up at the chairlift, the ticket allowed us to skip the line and we did not have to wait too long! The chairlift itself was amazing and something we will never forget, even though we said there was no way we were doing it! Even on the minibus the guys were friendly and informative and went out of their way to make sure everyone knew when and where we had to catch the boat back! We ended up with a tour around the island! The team were amazing and made the day really special, anyone thinking of booking this, do it, you will not regret it
