Sapa is a remote town in northwestern Vietnam that's known for its pristine rice terraces, cool mountain atmosphere, and community of ethnic. Sapa offers some of Vietnam's best trekking, and some villages such as Cat Cat or Lao Chai-Ta Van villages can be seen without a guide.

Located in the northern part of Vietnam, Sapa – the town floating in frost is not only famous for spectacular mountains but also for tranquil villages. Among those villages, Lao Chai Village, with its irresistible temptation, will attract you at first sight. Moreover, a palette of fun awaits you in Lao Chai Village as you can have an opportunity of getting exposed to Vietnamese ethnic communities as well as taking selfies with stunning terraced fields.

Coming to Ta Van, visitors not only see themselves in the picturesque scenery of nature with the murmuring sound of streams and the singing of wild birds calling you to find love but also enjoy the peaceful appearance of the village. The village leans back on the Hoang Lien Son Mountain and Muong Hoa Stream is on the front side. The houses of the local face the Northeast direction. According to the feng-shui concept of the Giay, it is not good to build a house facing the mountain and downwards the stream flow. For hundreds of years, the Giay people still kept their typical culture in the customs, religion and festival.
