Excellent Tour

The tour was excellent. We were picked up at our hotel and taken directly to Trier. Our tour guide Sérge was very knowledgeable and talked to us about Luxembourg, Trier, and the surrounding area. He answered lots of our random questions. We were allowed to set our own pace at most of the sites, so we took a ton of pictures. He offered to take pictures of us at the stops too. After Trier we went to a castle in Germany because the one in France was closed to visitors that day (Good Friday). It was beautiful and we had plenty of time to roam around and take more pictures. Then he took us to a wine tasting that specializes in Luxembourg wines. We sipped wines and cremants (sparkling) and ate delicious local charcuterie. After that we drove to where the agreement that formed the EU was signed and got to get on the little boat where they actually signed the papers. We saw part of the Berlin Wall there too. Finally he took us to a lookout point where you could see France, Germany and Luxembourg all at the same time. It was a full day and we saw more than I would have thought possible. We would definitely book Serge again- in fact we did, for the next day.

Operator response

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure spending the day with you and showing you Trier, the Moselle region, and some of the hidden corners around Luxembourg. I’m very happy you enjoyed the relaxed pace of the tour, the wine tasting, and all the little stops along the way — especially Schengen and the three-country viewpoint. Good travel days are often about flexibility and atmosphere as much as the places themselves, so I’m glad we could adapt the route and still make the day special despite the castle closure in France. And of course, thank you again for booking another tour with me the very next day — that honestly means a lot. Wishing you many more great adventures ahead, and I hope to welcome you back to Luxembourg again someday!

The idea of a perfect experience

It was a beautiful, self paced and organised private trip. Serg is a knowledgeable tour guide. His driving was perfect. He sure knows where the good spots are. Picturesque. He is a great photographer. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Lux/Germany/France did a number on us.

Great way to see a lot in one day

Really enjoyed this tour. Starting in Luxembourg and visiting Trier, Schengen, and a beautiful French castle all in one day felt seamless, not rushed. Trier was impressive with its Roman history, Schengen was a fun and meaningful stop, and the castle in France was a perfect finish — great views and very relaxed. The guide was friendly, easygoing, and knew when to talk and when to let us just enjoy the places. Comfortable drive, nice scenery, zero stress. If you want to see three countries in one day without overthinking it, this is a solid choice.
