6:50-7:30: Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and departure to Cat Ba Island by Expressway.
Arrive at Cat Ba Island and enjoy a picturesque coastal drive from Cai Vieng Port to Beo Harbour. Welcome aboard the cruise! While sipping on a welcome drink, our tour guide will provide essential information about the cruise, itinerary, and other important details. As the cruise sets sail, soak in the picturesque scenery of Cai Beo ancient fishing village, with its charming floating houses nestled along the mountainside. Be mesmerized by the tranquil beauty of this 7,000-year-old village. Further into the bay, marvel at the awe-inspiring beauty bestowed by Mother Nature: vast emerald waters adorned with hundreds of rocky islands of diverse sizes and shapes. Indulge in a mouth-watering lunch (Buffet lunch is provided for groups of 40 guests or more).
Following lunch, the cruise heads towards Viet Hai Port. Disembark and venture to the pier, where you'll hop on an electric car or bicycle to explore the ancient Viet Hai Village. Enjoy a unique fish-foot massage, wander among well-preserved traditional houses, or engage in conversations with the friendly local residents for an unforgettable experience.
Engage in kayaking and swimming activities amidst the stunning landscapes of Lan Ha Bay Our Captain and Tour Guide will select the best spot for the group to partake in exciting activities such as swimming in the open sea, boat-jumping, sliding down from the top deck into the refreshing water, kayaking, and more. (For your safety, we highly recommend wearing a life jacket during swimming, kayaking, or water activities.) The boat begins its return journey to Beo Pier. Take this opportunity to unwind on the top deck with a refreshing drink of your choice. Enjoy a small sunset party with fresh fruit, biscuits, and tea. Wonderful day! The ship and the food were outstanding! At the Old Quarter meeting point, a facilitator was there to check me in and make sure I got on the right bus. It was a sleek, modern and extremely clean bus. I loved that the windows were sparkling clean. The ride to Catba was about 2 hour, with a bathroom stop. We were upgraded to the cable car for crossing to the island. That was a wow! Then another bus to the Catba dock and a transfer boat to the cruise ship. There were audible gasps from passengers as we boarded. The ship was fabulous! After lunch, we took the transfer boat as to a different pier, then an electric cart to Viet Hai village. Great scenery then an informative talk. We had time to ride bicycles through the village, get a fish pedicure or just hang out. We could have used clearer time info here. But our guide got everyone rounded up. Back on the boat, it was water sports time - kayaking, swimming or a banana boat ride. As we cruised back to the pier, we had snacks. The ferry ride from the island was weird. A ferry arrived and off loaded but wouldn't take any passengers. So we had to wait for the next one. This was beyond the tour's control, but they got us across finally. Then back to Hanoi. All in all a FABULOUS day.

This tour was exceedingly well organized. Pick up was exactly as scheduled; transportation was excellent; the cruise ship was beautifully maintained and there was plenty of space for privacy as well as group interaction. The food onboard- especially the oysters and prawns- was plentiful and there was a good variety. There were biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming and speed boating adventures throughout the day, as well as a visit to a village and ride through a fishing village. And, throughout the day, we were surrounded by exceptional beauty. Most importantly, our guide Charlie made sure that each and every one of us felt valued and well served and we cannot thank him enough for making it so special.
