We enjoyed our trekking in Sapa with our guide Ai. She did a great job and always paid attention that everything went well.
3 night 2 day trekking in sapa. Night Train from Hanoi was fine and fun. Book the 2 berth for more privacy. Day 1 Hiking was tough but amazing. Quite slippery in parts and most of it is steep with lots of downhill. Fine if you’re fit but Tough on knees and I would recommend hiking poles. You WILL get muddy. Plan on that. Home stay was very comfortable and lots of food. Day 2 hiking also just amazing. You really do get a sense of the country and villages. Lots of little kids selling crafts but they are sweet and a few dollars will go a long way for them. Coming back it’s a night train from sapa to Hanoi but it makes more sense just to take the afternoon bus (4pm) and get back to Hanoi at 10pm instead of 4.30. Harley was our travel arranger and she was EXCELLENT really responsive and flexible. Especially as we changed our return plans.
Good views and lot of photography places. We had a really fun time with the guide Zua. She showed us around was patient with us taking photos. She also took us to good food places. Recommend it
We had a brilliant experience trekking around the scenic Sa Pa valley area diving into villages, staying at an isolated, but stunning home stay while being guided by the incredible Zua. She was our leader for all three days of the trek and she was knowledgeable, patient and just awesome. If you’re lucky enough to have her taking you around this very picturesque area, you will have a terrific experience.
May was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable and helpful and knew the route well. She was very punctual too, and even brought me to her mother's place, a cute little house in the middle of a rice field, for lunch. Great experience!
My friend and I had SUCH an amazing time!! The guide we had (Zua) was very friendly, helpful and enjoyable to spend 2.5 days with. She had so many local tips and tricks to share, and gave us a beautiful picture of the amazing culture and nature of Sapa. Would definitely do again.
Definitely recommend the tour to explore this beautiful area. Our guide Zua was great, knowledgeable and funny. Accommodation in the hotel was great and we also felt very welcomed in the homestay. I think communication from the tour operator could be better though, especially ahead of the trip. We were picked up in Hanoi together with people on different tours by a driver who did not speak English, then the group split and we were handed over to someone from the tour operator in Sapa, and finally brought to the hotel where we met the actual guide. It would be useful to give a bit more info about this, so that people understand what is going on, especially as you cannot ask the driver any questions. Also, we were not told that on the day of the 10 km trek with overnight stay in Ta Van village our heavy backpacks could be brought to the village by car. I think this is important as it's not an easy trek and it can be very hot, making it difficult to carry all your things.
Was a super fun trip, the views were absolutely amazing and everything ran smoothly with our own time as well. We had Khu as our guide and she was super knowledgeable and fun to be around. She helped with photos and talked to the group a lot :)
For solo travelers experienced in independent traveling I do not recommend any of the Sapa trips as it is better arranged there at the spot, it takes some time to arrange transportation but other than that, it gives you much more freedom and flexibility to do your own things at your own pace. Food arrangements at the homestays were rather simple and not very traditional/local but rather instant food. Local guides are always helpful and agency was happy to be flexible to change some of my itineraries for which I am super grateful! General lack of communication along the route between the guides and the travelers was a common thing thiugh. You never know where exactly you go and under which circumstances. Homestay made effort to entertain in the evening however food and coffee /drinks were just very basic. Nearby homestays offered much better choice of food and coffee.
Dear Zarko, Thank you so much for your feedback and please accept our sincere apology for your experience. On behalf of Crossing Vietnam Tour, we would like to acknowledge your sharings to improve our services. It's great to know that you can see our efforts with our guide who was enthusiastic to take you to explore Sapa area. And appreciate our good gesture when offering free van to Fansipan when you want to change your itinerary on the travel date. Regarding to your feedbacks, we would like to share with you that homestay in Sapa mountainous area is with local ethnic minority people. This tour is designed for people who want to experience the local lifestyle and it's the typical point of the tour. So the food would be local style, not as in modern hotel or city. Hope that you understand the situation and sympathize with the area feature. Hope you will visit Vietnam again and give us another chance to experience with you. Best regards, Crossing Vietnam Tour
Mu was an outstanding tour guide! She was extraordinarily welcoming and gave lots of interesting insights. She gave us cool route choices and took photos without even having to ask her. She was very competent and fun. The routes very amazing and challenging! Thanks so much for the great experience.
