Itinerary
On our way to Drina River House, we will make photo stop at Gate of Podrinja, viewpoint in Western Serbia.
Our first stop is Drina River House, a unique house built on a rock in the middle of the Drina River. The house was built in 1968 by few young boys and it was local attraction until 2012, when the photo of the house was published in National Geographic as "Photo of the Day". Take in the stunning scenery and snap some unforgettable photos of this specific sight. This part of Serbia is known for growing raspberries and we recommend that you try the homemade raspberry juice here.
Next, we'll head to Mokra Gora Wooden Village, a picturesque village located in the mountains. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and explore the charming wooden houses and streets. The village was built as a filming location by the famous director Emir Kusturica.
Our final stop will be at the Sargan 8 Railroad, a narrow-gauge heritage railway that winds through the stunning mountain landscapes. We'll board the train and embark on a journey of breathtaking views, including tunnels, bridges, and impressive curves, all while enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the historic train.

Great tour, and our guide Alex was very knowledgable. The local wine at the end of the tour was lovely, would highly recommend.
This was an excellent day trip and one of the highlights of my time in Serbia. The sights and activities were unique and interesting, and the nature throughout the tour was peaceful and incredibly scenic. The Drina House, Sargan Eight railway, and Drvengrad each offered something different and memorable. Our guide, Alexander, did a fantastic job explaining the history, culture, and background of everything we visited. He also shared additional information and useful links via WhatsApp, which added a lot of value to the experience. Everything was perfectly organized, from the timely hotel pick-up to the well-planned breaks during the long drive. The lunch stop was excellent, with good food and beautiful views.
We saw a wide variety of the country. A lot of driving (well riding) across the countryside. Milan was very knowledgeable and passionate about Serbia.
Very interesting experience with Alex. Good history knowledge and a great route overall. Truly appreciate and thanks 🙏
I had an amazing experience on a private tour to Western Serbia from Belgrade. The entire trip was very well planned from the start, and the tour operator was incredibly considerate and attentive to my needs, especially during the planning stage. Everything felt thoughtfully organized and tailored to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. I truly loved the tour. Milan did a fantastic job introducing me to each place along the way, sharing insights and making the experience much more meaningful. The pace was perfect, relaxed and never rushed, which allowed me to really take in and enjoy each stop. Tara National Park was absolutely fantastic and definitely a highlight of the trip. The scenery was stunning, and I had plenty of time to explore and appreciate the surroundings. Overall, I enjoyed every bit of it. It was a seamless, comfortable, and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Western Serbia in a relaxed and well organized way.
Part of the 3 day teambuilding trip for our international clients, for sure something foreigners should see in Serbia. Great coordination, precision as we had bigger group but still everything went as planned.
Living in Dubai made me need some green nature in my life:) maybe too much drive but at the end tour was very nice and Drvengrad is true gem.
Magnificet!!! Kustendorf was the higlight of the trip, and coming from Dubai, we missed the nature so much!!! Try komplet lepinja, you will be amazed.
Seeking for an untouched nature with an old charm train ride through the mountainous countryside of Serbia? This is the perfect way to spend the day. It’s also a romantic way to spend time with the one you love.
