Great experience with seamless logistics, very clear communications and explanations, nice and welcoming people. All was perfectly timed and organized, the tour featured all the key sights and allowed for sufficient time to explore each location. And of course the desert is beyond expectations!
A really great tour to experience the Wadi. There is so much going on, it’s exciting. Suleyman is so cool and funny. Thanks!!
We had amazing time with our driver Salama, who made very delicious lunch for us in the middle of Wadi Rum. Khalid was very understanding with the time (we've got extra hour to see the mushroom rock). I came for the tour with a ad knee and the driver always made sure I have an easy way out of the truck and plenty of time to sightsee/take pictures. Offered us some tea and refreshments so they were well prepared for us. The taxi transfer option, organised by tour provider, is extremely convinient if you stay inn hotel in Aqaba. Reccomend this highly!
This trip was wonderful and memorable, thanks to Ali our guide and driver and chef for our lunch in the peaceful desert.
We (30 and 31 years old, from Switzerland) booked the "Rakhabat Canyon Day Hike" with a taxi transfer from the Mövenpick Resort Tala Bay in Aquaba. Everything was perfect for us and everything went smoothly. From the taxi transfer, ATM stop, hike, lunch, jeep tour, sightseeing to sunset! Great value for money! Friendly guide, good driver and cook! The tour requires some skill, surefootedness and a head for heights. Very satisfied, impressed but also tired, we were driven back to the hotel by the taxi driver!
Dear Lena, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and photos! I’m pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the tour and hiking through Rakhabat Canyon. Thanks again for choosing us, and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Take care, from Khaled & the team at Desert Eyes
A great tour of Wadi Rum with our guide Jusef(not sure of spelling) but he was very informative and cooked us a delicious lunch. Wadi Rum was truly amazing and we picnicked in the desert where it seemed we were the only people there, so peaceful and tranquil. An amazing experience
A good experience with a Bedouin guide. Fantastic scenery. More communication in English would have enhanced the experience. The taxi was late arriving which caused some angst. Signs to indicate that the transfer had arrived would be a benefit at a crowded pick up point. We had an enjoyable day.
Dear James Grayson, Thank you for sharing your experience about our full day tour in Wadi Rum. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it and I wish you all the best for the rest of your travels. We arranged for a taxi to pick up two guests who arrived at the shuttle bus drop-off point from the cruise port in Aqaba. The taxi driver arrived 15 minutes early and successfully located the guests amidst the throngs of other passengers. At 9:15 am, the guests were en route to Wadi Rum. We work with a taxi driver who is consistently punctual, arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Please note that our taxi transport services are exclusively available for guests staying at Aqaba city-hotels. However, we can arrange a transfer for cruise passengers upon special request, provided they are willing to meet us in the city centre. Best regards, Khaled and the team at Desert Eyes
Amazing experience. Khaled was so professional and organized. Farejh, the local bedouin who drove us around the valley, was born and leaves there. He was nice and very knowledgeable about the place. He is a great driver and better guide. He also cooked delicious vegetables and brought a tasty salty cheese! Both speak perfect english. The landscape is unforgettable! Khaled recommended visiting the Nabatean Temple at the end of the tour. Thanks for this unique experience.
Excellent tour. Highly recommended. Everything was as described. Hotel pick up and return was on time and professional. We were met at the Wadi Rum village by the tour operator and introduced to our driver. We had full day tour with stops at many wonderful sites. We were given ample time at each for photos, hiking, climbing and exploring. The lunch was prepared on site and was absolutely delicious. We ended the tour at a fantastic spot for watching the sunset. Unfortunately incoming clouds obscured the sunset. But otherwise it was a fantastic day.
At the end of February 2023, we did the "Bedouin Steps Tour" offered by Wadi Rum Desert Eyes. The booking process was very easy and quick. Similarly, the taxi pickup from our hotel in Aqaba South beach at 9 am was smooth and easy as was the quick 60 min ride to Wadi Rum. Upon arrival at Wadi Rum village around 10 am, Khaled gave us a warm and calming welcome while we had a chat along a coffee to discuss the day. Next, we started our trip on the back of a Toyota pickup to the more remote and less visited parts of the Wadi Rum national park. During our tour, we barely saw any other visitors even though it is a busy time for visiting the park. Hence, the "Bedouin Steps Tour" is absolutely recommended from us for those who want to escape the crowds and enjoy the tranquility, calmness and relaxing atmosphere of the magnificent desert. End of February was a great time to visit as many desert flowers were blooming and turned the sand dunes into a sea of wealth and life from insects, reptiles and birds to goats and sheep brought by shepherds as well as several groups of dromedary strolling around the valleys. For nature lovers, we would recommend that time of visit. During our tour, we visited 6 sites but without and rush or hassle. There was always enough time and we never felt some kind of rush mood. Our guide spoke good English and was very kind and friendly. He prepared tasty vegetarian lunch, there was always enough water and we had great tea. After watching the sunset, we returned to Wadi Rum village, said goodbye and were immediately transferred back to Aqaba in a short 60 min taxi ride. All in all, we highly recommend the "Bedouin Steps Tour" and enjoyed it very much. Thank you for a great time!
