Itinerary
Nestled in the lush hills above the Moselle River, Eltz Castle is one of Germany’s most enchanting medieval fortresses. Surrounded by forest and untouched for over 850 years, it offers a rare glimpse into authentic medieval architecture and noble heritage. Guests can explore the castle grounds, courtyards, scenic surroundings and the castle’s interiors and treasury. Note: Comfortable shoes are recommended as access involves a short walk uphill from the parking area.
Stop in the delightful town of Cochem for a leisurely lunch (own cost) and exploration. Stroll along cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses, riverside cafés and boutiques. The town’s medieval charm and castle-topped skyline make it one of the highlights of the Moselle Valley.
Marvel at the Moselle Valley Bridge, an engineering masterpiece spanning high above the river. From the viewpoint, enjoy sweeping panoramas of the Moselle’s winding curves, vineyards and nearby villages - a perfect spot for memorable photos.
Visit the iconic Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where the Moselle and Rhine rivers meet. Admire the grand equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I and enjoy panoramic views of the confluence - one of the most photographed spots in Koblenz.
Take a relaxing stroll through Koblenz’s charming Old Town, filled with cafés, boutiques, and historic squares. Enjoy a leisurely coffee break or explore local shops before the return drive to Frankfurt. Note: Most cafés accept cards, but carrying small cash can be convenient.

It was so convenient to be picked up at the hotel and dropped off after the excursion to Burg Eltz, Cochem and Koblenz! The outing was very enjoyable: loved the sights , especially Cochem an der Mosel! It was comfortable riding in the Mercedes van, but most of all we loved our friendly and helpful driver “Mo”. He was OUTSTANDING! It was an amazing day.👏👏 so worth it.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and timely. He explained well what to expect and the stops were beautiful. He went out of his way and provided us with an extra water when he knew we might need it. He was kind and helpful. I would definitely book with them again. The vehicle was fancy too.
Our tour guide was kind and knowledgeable. In addition, i loved the timeliness of our pickup points and not having to wonder what was next as he explained everything well. I would definitely do this again, as he was soo professional and made the trip comfortable. I also loved the beauty surprise of the quaint little town we had lunch in. The car was nice as well and he made us feel special at our pick up points. He went above and beyond.
Our driver arrived early and was very polite. The vehicle was very comfortable for the long drives. Eltz castle was great, beautiful views. There is a very steep incline so be prepared. There is a shuttle that can be used for an additional charge. Lunch in Cochem was delicious.
