Meeting with our guide and starting your mouth-watering cretan streetbfood exploration. 1st through the market we taste pies and pastries from the oldest bakery in the city whole we admire the Romans fountain beside the Sultans wife monument. Walking to this street with aromas from fresh baked and cured coffee nuts and spices we take a bite on Heraklions oldest tapas shop and taste with some ouzo The Cretans delicious mezws-tapas small dishes full of taste Variety is the name.
Caffe greek slowly cooked with the old traditional way. All secrets of Greek coffee in compination of cretan pastries and yami pies.
Walking between the open market and the vibrand cobblestone streets of the Venetian Heraklion city. Admiring its venetian and Ottomans architecture as well as the cretan culture .
The Nostra europa awarded building the nobles meeting point since 14th century. After the tapas we visit the city delicious Bougatsa shop -named after Vyzantion-wraped and filled ( creme-cheese- greens-groundbeef) There we will take a bite of Greeces famous sweet and salty best snack.

For meet lovers :There we will have the option to taste the slow cooked famous Ofto of Cretans the survival food qith fresh yoghurt and fresh fries on side. Walking to history via Metropolitan church and an old monastery we reach the oldest and small narrow streets of the city while admiring the hidden gems unknown to tourist

Magda was the best guide!!! She knows the city very well, she accommodated my husband’s request for seafood instead of lamb, and was very personable and fun. We highly recommend this tour with Magda. Two thumbs up!
A lot of food! Two stops and the second stop had at least 8-9 plates of different dishes tapas style. More then I could eat, very friendly restaurant manager, guide was ok.
A brilliant experience combining history with the delicious Cretan food and drink. Magda was a brilliant guide - the whole thing could not have been better!
We had an amazing guide Magda and we learned so much about Crete and we sampled some very delicious authentic foods as we walked leisurely through Heraklion.

We had the most wonderful food tour with Magda. She was a perfect ambassador of Cretan hospitality, history and culture. She took us to places in Heraklion we may no have gone on our own, and the food…first, I’ve never eaten so much on a food tour and we usually take one in a every major city we visit. Secondly, Magda took us to places that had unique offerings that only a local would know. One of the restaurants served us lamb, sheep and pork raised from the owner’s farm in the mountains. And I loved that she encouraged us to eat with our hands. We were immersed into the Cretan culture for a day. Loved it!

Crete Heraklion specifically was wonderful. We enjoyed tasting local cuisine. There was plenty to eat! The gelato was wonderful!

What an incredible experience with Magda! She is our new best friend! Magda truly made us feel truly special and provided us with the great history of Crete, as well as a truly amazing food experience. She is a tremendous host who wants to provide you the best culinary experience Crete has to offer. Our last stop, a sit down lunch at an amazing restaurant on the water included beer and wine, numerous appetizers to enjoy, and when we thought that was it, out came the entrees of fresh sea bass and mussels, capped off with amazing desserts. I would give this food tour 10 stars if I could. Magda is an excellent guide. We had so much food! All of the food was thoughtful and local to Crete. I love food history and Magda has a lot of insight on the history of Crete, culture and food traditions. We were with another couple so the size of our group was perfect and we got to make new friends.
