Guide was great storyteller; set context of buildings and art in historical perspective without sounding like a history teacher.
Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Kimberly, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re very happy to hear that your guide’s storytelling style made Florence’s history and art engaging and enjoyable in such a natural way. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for more cultural discoveries in Florence! Warm wishes, Caf Tour & Travel
Our guided tour started at the Accademia Gallery which houses the statue of David by Michelangelo. There are hundreds of beautiful marble carvings throughout the gallery. There are also many paintings, musical instruments, and artifacts. The guide provided very detailed information about many items throughout the gallery and Medici Museum. Then, we started the outdoor walking tour of the city. The guide took us past several wonderful sites and provided great narration about the city’s history. We saw the exteriors of: San Lorenzo Church – Built in 393 AD, it is the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family. Duomo complex – In the Duomo Square, we saw the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore which started construction in 1296. It is the most beautiful and intricately decorated church and bell tower we have ever seen. Across from the cathedral is the San Giovanni Baptistery with huge decorated bronze doors. Both structures and the bell tower are built in the renaissance style and are decorated with white, green, and pink marble. Orsanmichele Church – Gothic style architecture started around 1400. The exterior has many statues in niches. Ponte Vecchio – This bridge is documented as the first bridge across this narrow part of the Arno River. It is the oldest bridge in Florence. We walked onto the bridge which is lined with stores and has been since approximately 1340. Today, most of the stores sell jewelry. Piazza Signoria – Here we saw the Fountain of Neptune and the outdoor museum of sculptures which includes the statue of Perseus holding Medusa’s head, Hercules fighting with a centaur, and the Rape of the Sabines. After the walking tour, the guide escorted us to a restaurant where the tour ended, and the guide left. Lunch was included in the price of the tour. We had a very good meal served with bruschetta and dessert. This tour is excellent if you only have a couple of days in Florence. If you have more time, take tours that go inside the churches. We Googled them and were able to see the beautiful interiors, elaborate domes, and many fine sculptures.

We hope you return to Florence someday to explore even more of its treasure! Best regards
The guided tour in La Academia was great with our guide Alicia, very knowledgeable. The city walking tour is not worthy, very fast, lots of information and we couldn't hear all the explanations because the lack of transmisors. The lunch was not good, and finally the visit to the Uffizi Gallery was very well managed by our guide Ilaria. I would suggest not to take the whole package, rather, individual visits to the galleries.
Dear David, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're very happy to hear that Alicia and Ilaria met your expectations and that their expertise enhanced your visits to the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries. They truly care about providing an excellent experience for our guests. We're sorry to hear that your lunch experience did not meet your expectations. We’ve been collaborating with this supplier for a long time, and it’s unusual for us to receive such comments. Please know that we’ll review this matter with them to ensure future improvements. Regarding the walking tour, we understand that it’s difficult to see an entire city in a single morning. The tour is designed to highlight key locations and provide a meaningful overview, but we agree that it's always a challenge to cover everything in such a short time. We hope that it still gave you valuable insights into our beautiful city. We appreciate your suggestions and hope to welcome you again in the future. Best regards,
The tour is broken up, you spend most of the day solo trying to find your way around, the guide didn't give good directions
Dear Abeed, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent experience on the Florence City Tour. We’re sorry to learn that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. We want to emphasize that we clearly outline all meeting points and check-in times on our website and in the vouchers provided to our guests. We encourage everyone to refer to these details for a smoother experience. Regarding our guides, we take great pride in our team. Our collaborators have been with us for a long time and are selected for their professionalism and expertise. Hoping that the above clarification meet your understanding, Best regards,
This tour package was poorly organized and confusing. The initial meeting place was the same as many other tour groups met and there was little to identify this specific tour company. The tour itself is comprised of SEPARATE parts each led by a different guide and the customer is responsible for finding the meeting spot for the next phase of the tour. Good luck to those without internet access to obtain the necessary information of where next to proceed. I would not recommend this tour package to anyone. It is not a smooth and seamless experience that I was expecting.
Good afternoon from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Miguel, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We regret that our Florence City Tour did not meet your expectations. We are sorry to hear about any inconvenience you encountered while reaching the various meeting points, even though they are in close proximity to each other. We would like to clarify that our Viator page does not specify a single guide for the entire day as part of the tour. We also want to clarify that it is clearly written in the voucher how to identify our assistant at the first meeting point for the guided tour of the Accademia Gallery. Unfortunately it is not under our control the presence of other groups in our meeting points, especially for these museums so requested. We hope for the opportunity to welcome you back to Florence in the future, and we will certainly take your comments into account as we continually strive to enhance our services. Warmest regards
Absolutely worth the money spent. Extremely knowledgeable of the city and the Accademia. Lunch was good. Wish we had don the Uffizi with them. Ended up booking a different tour in the end for it and it was nice as well. Watch you pockets. Someone in our group got pick pocketed. They got caught by undercover police. Guide handled it smoothly as well.
Dear Joshua, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us. We're thrilled to hear that you found our tour of the city, the Accademia and the Uffizi to be a valuable experience. We're also delighted to know that you enjoyed the lunch we provided. We're sorry to hear about the incident with the pickpocket. However, it's reassuring to know that the situation was handled smoothly by our guide and that the undercover police were able to intervene promptly. We hope to welcoming you soon in Florence and on one of our activities, Warm regards
Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful on the museum tour. The bad thing about this tour is it is actually 3 separate tours with different guides and meeting places. You actually have to navigate the city to find the starting points. The description should also qualify the amount of walking. At least 3 couples dropped out early.
Good morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're thrilled to hear that you found our tour guides knowledgeable and helpful during the museum tours. Florence has a charming pedestrian historic center, which makes it convenient to explore all the major attractions on foot. Moreover, Florence has a small pedestrian historic center in which you can reach the most interesting places on foot. In addition, all times are clearly specified in the voucher and itinerary on the online page. We hope to welcome you back to Florence for an even more enjoyable experience in the future! Ou best regards
When I signed up I thought it was one tour. It turns out each venue was separate with different tour guides such as the tour in Accademia, the historic walk, lunch and the Uffizi. It was our responsibility to get to each place on our own and it was very uncomfortable when you are not familiar with the area and you get lost which gives the chance of missing an excursion. Four times we had to find each place and it was stressful. I would highly recommend having one tour guide or at least have someone with you to guide you to each venue. All of the guides in each tour were fantastic.
Good afternoon from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Joseph, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are glad you appreciated our guides' services, they all have lots of experience and knowledge in Florence’s heritage and history. Indeed the reason to include different specialized guides, as you noticed, is to allow the most inclusive experience to our clients in every site. On the other hand, we regret reading that it has been stressful to reach every meeting point by yourself, despite being at a very close distance one from the other; but we would also like to clarify that it is not mentioned on our Viator page, that the tour includes one single guide for all the day. Hoping to welcome you again in Florence, we will treasure your comments to improve our services. Our best regards
It's not organized very well. We missed our meet up point and the representative at the site gave us tickets but did not give us information where to go after we're done with the tour of Accademia. It's like a chopped up tour where you have a guide for Accademia gallery, another guide for the walking tour, then you are on your own to find the restaurant for lunch, then another guide for the Uffizi. It's probably better not to get lunch with this tour.
Good afternoon from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Customer, thank you for taking the time to post your review on Viator. We regret to read your disappointment about our Florence City Tour. This activity has been designed to give a comprehensive overview of Florence and its main museums: the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi. For the above, we offer different specialized guides, as you noticed, to allow the most inclusive experience to our clients. It is very uncommon for us to see that one of our assistants did not give information about the tour. All the information about the tour stops are clearly specified in the Voucher you received after booking with us. As we treasure every single comment, in order to deliver an impeccable service, we are confident that next time you will join one of our tours, you will be 100% fulfilled. Kind regards
It was a great tour. We got to see some amazing pieces of art and our guide was extremely knowledgeable on both the art and area history. We would highly recommend!
Good morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Todd, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We are glad to read how our guide managed to convey all his knowledge and passion for the art and history of Florence during your Florence city tour. We will certainly take your words back to her, which she will certainly be happy about. Hoping to welcome you in Florence again, Regards
