Itinerary
Piazza della Repubblica marks the site of the forum, the centre of the Roman city. The exact present site of the Colonna dell'Abbondanza marks the intersection of the axes of the cardo (now via Roma and via Calimala) and decumanus (now via degli Strozzi, via degli Speziali, and via del Corso)
Santa Maria del Fiore is one of the largest churches in the world. The plan consists of a triple-nave basilica with the presbytery area nested within, dominated by the large octagon of the immense dome, around which are three radial apses (or “tribunes”), each consisting of five chapels
The Basilica di San Lorenzo (Basilica of St. Lawrence) is one of the largest churches of Florence, Italy, situated at the centre of the main market district of the city, and it is the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family
Via de' Tornabuoni is a street at the center of Florence, Italy, that goes from Antinori square to ponte Santa Trinita, across Santa Trinita square, distinguished by the presence of fashion boutiques
The Bridge a Santa Trinita is a real masterpiece of Renaissance architecture; it is often called «the most beautiful bridge in the world» by tourists and visitors
The Basilica di Santo Spirito ("Basilica of the Holy Spirit") is a church in Florence, Italy. Usually referred to simply as Santo Spirito, it is located in the Oltrarno quarter, facing the square with the same name
The Palazzo Pitti, sometimes called the Pitti Palace, is a vast, mainly Renaissance, palace in Florence, Italy. It is situated on the south side of the River Arno, a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio
The most striking and oldest bridge in Florence still in existence is the Ponte Vecchio, literally: the old bridge. The Ponte Vecchio was designed by a student of Giotto, Taddeo Gaddi and was finished in 1345. The Ponte Vecchio is known for the many shops on and around the bridge, which used to be the domain of blacksmiths, tanners and butchers
The Piazza della Signoria has been the political and social heart of Florence for many years. There have been several parlamentos, public gatherings, and it is a well-known place, where you as a tourist can simply stroll around and enjoy all the beautiful things that are in the square. In the Piazza della Signoria you will find the well-known loggia with statues that recall important events in the city and important myths

This bike tour was honestly the worst experience for us in Florence. My wife and our two boys took the tour. Our guide was just not kid friendly and sped off on all the monuments without have the decency to check if we were behind her. Our boys at 8 and 4. I ordered a toddler carrier that was strapped to the back of my seat for my 4 year old and it was not installed properly so it broke during the ride. We were so lucky that our son did not fall off it onto the road. I only noticed it was broken because he was scared and started crying. The guide did not even offer to help me install it. So I had to push my bike back with my family while she sped off with the others as she had to return the bike son time. Just a horrible experience with this guide. Would ask you to do some research to find a really good company. I am honestly surprised that this place has gotten 4.8 stars Read all the reviews carefully before you make a choice. Hope this will help another family from experiencing the same issues that we did.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to read about your experience, as the safety and comfort of our guests—especially families with children—are always our highest priority. After carefully checking our booking records, we were unable to find any reservations including children or child seats in the months. Without a booking reference or additional details, it is unfortunately difficult for us to identify the tour or the guide involved. We would be grateful if you could contact us directly with your booking information so we can investigate this matter thoroughly. Regarding the safety equipment: none of our guides have reported issues with child seats during tours, and all equipment is regularly checked and maintained. However, we take your comments very seriously and will review our procedures once again to ensure the highest standards are upheld at all times. We sincerely apologize if your experience did not meet expectations and hope you will reach out to us so we can better understand what happened and assist you further. Kind regards, Towns of Italy Customer Care
What a fun workout, navigating streets and people while seeing more of the sights of Florence than possible on foot in 2 hours. Our guide was so knowledgeable about everywhere we stopped, we didn't ask a question he couldn't answer.
Excellent experience. Our very charismatic and concerned guide of the group. The bikes are in very good condition, so pedaling through the streets of Florence and knowing about its history was really very entertaining and enjoyable.
We had a great time seeing the city with Maria as our guide! She had an amazing grasp on the history of the city and made the 2 hours really fun. I would suggest this tour to anyone interested seeing the city and hopefully Maria is your guide as well!
This was the perfect blend of fun and chaos. We rode on a Saturday and it was very busy. People, cars, bikes, and Vespa’s were everywhere, and I had fun dodging and weaving. Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable on the sites. However, my wife’s earpiece kept falling off… if you have small ears, you’ll have a problem keeping the earpiece attached.
2 hours well spent, the cycling pace was easy going, Florence is flat. Catrine was our friendly, knowledgable, experienced guide. We learned Florence history and saw the highlights.
Super nice tour with lots of information about Florence. The two hours were so to, recommend to do
The bike ride was fine, nice enthusiastic guide. However, the bike ride is 2 hours instead of 3 hours and there is no ice cream tasting. They haven’t been doing the ice cream tasting for 2 years 😳. Although we indicated that we found it special that we booked and paid for a longer excursion with tasting, there is no compensation of part of the price of the excursion. That's a shame. I do think Viator should change the description Cannes excursion.

This was our third visit to Florence and our first bike tour there. Fabio was wonderful!! He pointed out details and told stories about parts of Florence and its buildings we’ve walked past without noticing before. Fabio loves what he does which comes through in how he excitedly talks to the group. Whether you’re getting to know the city for the first time or love it and want to zoom in on some of its history, this is a great tour!!
We had a nice morning bike ride thru the city. I recommend you doing this before any other tours as it will give you a great perspective of the city and best places to visit. We stopped at numerous places and our guide was an incredibile historian and discussed each place we stopped. Easy flat ride too. Definitely recommend it!
