Piazza della Repubblica in Florence is a place that enchants with its timeless elegance. Surrounded by impressive historic buildings and dominated by the large column supporting an equestrian statue of Cosimo I, the square has a lively atmosphere, thanks also to the historic cafes that line its sides, such as Caffè Gilli. Its open space, while surrounded by elegant architecture, manages to convey a feeling of harmony and serenity. The beauty of Piazza della Repubblica also lies in the details: the arches, statues and lights that make it a perfect corner where history and modernity meet.
Piazza Santo Spirito in Florence is a characteristic and lively corner of the historic center, which exudes an authentic and quiet atmosphere. At the center of the square stands the church of Santo Spirito, Brunelleschi's masterpiece, with its simple but imposing facade. The square is surrounded by historic buildings and small shops, and comes alive especially on summer evenings, when outdoor clubs and restaurants attract Florentines and tourists. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, away from the hustle and bustle of the most touristic squares, making Santo Spirito a perfect place for walks and relaxation.
Piazza Pitti in Florence is a large space that opens in front of the majestic Pitti Palace, one of the main symbols of Renaissance power and beauty. The palace, once the residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany, is an imposing building overlooking the square with its severe and grandiose facade. The square, with its wide-ranging, is the entrance point to the wonderful Boboli Gardens, which extend to the back of the palace. The place is often animated by tourists and Florentines enjoying the landscape, the surrounding greenery and the art that the square itself hosts, including statues and fountains. The majesty of Piazza Pitti and its connection with the history of the city make it one of the most suggestive squares in Florence.
Piazza Santa Croce in Florence is one of the most fascinating and historic squares of the city, dominated by the magnificent Basilica of Santa Croce, famous for its works of art and for being the tomb of great figures such as Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli. The square is wide and open, with a lively atmosphere thanks to the outdoor spaces of the cafes and the characteristic shops. Its stone floor and the facades of the buildings that surround it give the square an elegant and timeless charm. Often the scene of cultural events and concerts, Piazza Santa Croce is a fundamental meeting point for residents and tourists, combining art, history and daily life.

Asil is an incredible driver with in-depth knowledge of history, a fantastic personality and a very high level of professionalism. The agency is easy to communicate with and I felt the overall value was good. Grazie mille, Asil!!!
Tour ended early. Didn’t get the full time we paid for. I don’t understand why offer a tour at rush hour. Didn’t have as many sites to see.

My family found this to be an enjoyable and informative tour on our first night in Florence. Our guide, Sever, was knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. The city's fascinating history is matched with its beautiful sights which, even on a misty evening, were picturesque as ever!

Great personal attention…enjoyed going to Tuscany winery and the town of San Gimignano and then back to Florence to Michael Angelo Square to see the overlook of Florence at night. Would recommend this trip and company.
We were a family of 7 including 3 young children and 2 grandmothers in their 70s. This was the perfect tour for us since we wanted to see as much of this beautiful city while making sure that we don't tire out the kids and the grandmothers. It was also perfect because our tour guide, Barbara, was exceptional in every way. Her excitement and passion for this breathtaking city was genuine and I couldn't believe how she was able to navigate so many one- way narrow streets filled with pedestrians in such a large van. What truly set Barbara apart was her personalized care and local insight. When we casually mentioned an interest in finding a quality, authentic leather jacket, she didn't just point to the nearest market. She gave us a shortlist of trusted, family-owned artisans and when we mentioned her name, they provided us with a discount! Thanks to her, we came away with stunning, genuine pieces we will treasure for years. Her restaurant recommendations were equally impeccable. Steering us clear of tourist traps, she directed us to incredible, off-the-beaten-path trattorias where we enjoyed the most sublime Florentine steak and pasta of our entire trip. Barbara is warm, engaging, and effortlessly professional. She didn’t just guide us; she hosted us. She made us feel like informed friends exploring her beloved city, not just clients on a schedule. Thank you, Barbara, for the perfect introduction to Florence. You didn’t just give us a tour; you gave us a lifetime of wonderful memories and insider knowledge. We cannot recommend you highly enough! Grazie mille!
