Our evening bike tour lets you discover the hidden side of Florence that comes alive after dark. Your expert local guide will lead you through the bohemian neighborhoods of San Frediano and Santo Spirito, and into the authentic, food-loving district of San Niccolò, where you’ll ride beneath its historic tower gate. Along the way, you’ll pause for a delightful picnic aperitivo on the banks of the Arno—complete with a glass of Tuscan wine and a box of regional delicacies.

This lungarno has a brand new bike lane, enjoy the ride at sunset and the view over the Arno.
The most famous square of the area, where you can grab a drink and enjoy the night air and most likely, there'll be someone playing a guitar sitting next to you.
This spot is perfect to admire Ponte Vecchio in all its glory, and at night? Just splendid. Admire how the area near the gold district, became a beacon to luxury caffès with splendid views over the Arno and the Uffizi.

Once packed with artisans, this area saw its local eateries—originally opened to serve the workers—evolve into gourmet hotspots where you can now taste exquisite local delicacies

- We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing. For spring and summer: hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. For winter: warm layers, gloves, scarves, and hats. In case of rain: waterproof gear is highly recommended

- Kids are welcome! They'll be required to ride their own bike. For younger participants, we recommend that they be experienced riders who are comfortable riding in a group and capable of navigating various surfaces and shared traffic roads. (Please provide the kids' height and age when booking)
- All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Pregnant women are strongly discouraged from joining bike tours due to cobbled streets
- Most dietary substitutions can be accommodated if requested in advance. Please note cross-contamination cannot be avoided.
- Non-alcoholic alternatives are available; please inform us in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request

I am never disappointed with Fat Tire Bike Tours. Great experience! Our guide Claudia was very informative and fun. Loved the view & vibe at our aperitivo stop. I booked an e-bike which was a great choice with temps near 100. Highly recommend!
We booked the private sunset tour, and our guide was Benedetta. She was so warm and personable. She provided so many interesting details about Florence. Even with a light rain shower, we pushed on to complete the tour, and Benedetta checked on us at every stop to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the tour. Seeing Florence in the evening by bike is so much fun...less crowds, for sure. I recommend this tour!

Dear A_O I am sorry that you could not find us in time for the tour, Florence can be a tricky city to navigate. We did however send you a map, a live location and we offered to come find you, but the communication we received in return made that very difficult. Had you managed to find the meeting point and join the tour, you would have seen why we have so many good reviews. We work super hard to make sure that our guests have the best time with us. I'm truly sorry that you did not get to experience this. Hopefully next time!
Very interesting stories about the city- not found in history books. Good bikes and nice red wine in a nice park on the river bank. Guide was excellent
The idea of nighttime tour was good and the route covered a lot of Florence. However the bikes we used did not have working lights and it was difficult to hear the guide which spoiled the experience for us.
Hi Dalton, I am so sorry that we failed to meet your expectations for this tour. The bikes for our Evening Tour are all equipped with working lights and we use the best quality headsets to make sure the guide is clearly audible. It seems that the guide took the wrong bikes and neglected to bring the headsets. This is of course unacceptable, and I sincerely apologise for this lapse in professionalism. I will make 100% sure that this does not happen again.
Really enjoyed this tour as it gave us a great overview of the city on the first day we arrived. Much easier than walking and covered a lot more area this way. Relatively flat and not physically challenging (we are in our 50's) but negotiating traffic was a bit interesting. Bring some water!
My family had a wonderful time with our tour guide Marcia. She made our Florence visit special. We rode at a safe and enjoyable pace through the main sites. Got great historical information. She was knowledgeable, kind and patient. We're so happy and grateful. Great tour

<p>Great fun. Terrific guide - she was delightful, fun, and shared plenty of information. Group of about 8-10. We rode from one great spot to another, and she provided some history and highlights. Later, more biking and, as the sun set, we rode to an amazing overlook --- were able to walk around and more photos I got some amazing ones, now on FB. Finally, a stop for Gelato - of course, everyone loved that! The price was great - and it was a wonderful way to spend an evening in Florence. Do this!!!</p>
