Great trip to Florence

Great visit to Florence. The tour guide was fantastic. Please be aware that it is 2 hours each way from the cruise port to Florence, so that will cut into your time to explore.

Don't waste your time on this bus

You do not see the buildings that they are describing on this trip. Or, you have passed the building before they describe it. This hop on hop off is definitely not worth going on

Operator response

Our map showing all the stops included in the service is published on our official website, so the routes can be consulted in advance, allowing you to plan your excursion accordingly.

A must do in Florence.

The hop on hop off bus is well worth considering. Make sure to queue in plenty of time because it gets very busy, especially if you want top deck with the nice breeze. We stayed on the blue route, approximately 1hr 15 minutes, and was fascinating...seeing some very interesting landmarks on the route - well worth it. Audio guide is available also via headphones. The bus took us to the highest point to give us stunning views over the city. Busses run every 25/35 minutes to give plentiful options. City full of history and archaeology / architecture

Disappointing and Delayed

30-45 minutes wait between busses. Even the staff selling tickets was frustrated. Waiting for the bus for so long greatly decreased the amount of time we had to enjoy the city. Staff seemed disinterested in giving detailed directions. I asked, “Where is the Santa Croce from this stop?” and was met with a non-committal wave towards the front of the bus and no specifics.

Operator response

We're sorry to read your review, which does not reflect the quality of service that our customers confirm to us every day. Your feedback will certainly be useful in helping us improve our offering.

Reliable transportation from La Spezia to Florence

The tour guide waited right outside the cruise terminal and was very easy to find. The guide gave us good tips about food. We only had 5 hours at Florence. I wished we had skipped the Hop on Hop Off. It took too long (over an hour) circling the outer skirt of the town. Most if not all what you want to see is pretty centralized at the center of the town, which you can see more by simply walking around. I did not like that we had to walk 15 mins in 100 degrees weather from the tour bus parking lot to the train station in uphill. It is good mean of transportation but nothing more.

Florence

Excellent roundtrip transportation from the port to Florence. On time, nice. The guided walk by Martina very good, she was worried and friendly. The regular bus hop on hop off. The app did not clearly show the stops we had a hard time finding it and it was very hot. Once above the Audio Guide was out of step.

Good HOHO package for a cruise Port stop

This was a good HOHO package to take as a port stop — starting from our pick up from the La Spezia port — to the 2-hour transfer to Florence —boarding the HOHO to go for a quick sightseeing and shopping around Florence — and getting us back seamlessly back to the port to board our ship. Our guide, Lumi, was very nice — and while she was only responsible for us during the transfers — it was nice that she was in the city the whole time to be on hand in case we encountered issues. Special shout out to our Kabayan (Filipino) lady in the HOHO stop who gave us pointers to get down in Stop 10 (Ponte Vecchio), re-board and Stop 14 (Michaelangelo Square) since we had limited time — so we were able to maximize our time.
