Designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, the tower is over 700 years old and stands at 95 metres tall – an important defense feature to see enemies. It was also a jail at times, and you can still see the rooms where Cosimo de Medici and Savonarola were imprisoned. When you reach the top, enjoy the incredible view of Florence.
