Anna was very sweet and had planned an informative trip around the city. Some of the places were very busy and it was difficult to hear what she was saying. She was open to questions and had a large knowledge of typical food from the area.
Valerie was spectacular ! She was so engaging with our family and grandchildren . She was very knowledgable and took us to many wonderful places . The highlights were the pasta stop , the truffle tasting , the coccola, the gelato , everything ! It was a great day , we will definitely recommend it to others .
Our guide Francisco was amazing!! Great knowledge, extremely friendly & helpful, great food. Would definitely recommend as a to do on a trip to Florence.
This experience and tour will truly give you the flavor and insights of Florence- food, history, and local info. Francesco is born and raised in Florence and regaled us with tales of his favorite treat as a child, and took us to places that not only have delicious food and treats but are a major part of the community. Our family had a wonderful memorable experience and highly recommend Francesco.
Excellent fun and incredible local food with some fantastic and humorous insights from our guide Francesco. Highly recommend
I highly recommend this Tour! We got to try several different specialty foods in the center of Florence and we met some wonderful characters! It really gave you a sense of the flavors in every respect! Our Tour guide was knowledgeable, charming, and took such great care of us. Each taste was different and delicious! At the same time, we learned so many things about the history of the city and it’s culinary traditions.
Lou was an amazing host. She knew about the places we went to, and gave great commentary on highlights of Firenze. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food tour with Anna. Small group. Having grown up in Florence Anna knew all the best places to visit. She explained the history of the city and also the food, it brought the city to life and time flew by. We tried coccoli, chianti, papa, mushrooms/liver pate/cheese on bread, ragu/tomato sauce and pasta with the most delicious ice-cream to finish. We had sites of the city pointed out on the way while we strolled. The shop owners all were very welcoming from the 97yr Nona to the singing pasta restaurant owner. We met people from USA, Germany and Vietnam and all chatted while we tasted. It was an extremely lovely way to spend the evening. We certainly didn't need any dinner afterwards - just a few cocktails at Eby's! This was our very first food tour - we'll be booking up more when we are away exploring next.
Paolo was the life of the party! He shared tons of personal stories and insights into the area thru his own eyes as a life long resident of the Green district. The pasta was a highlight. Husband said it was the best he’s ever had. Gelato was to die for. Definitely go for the stories, enjoy the food!
It was nice. Food was good and filling, but not extraordinary. Would give it 3.5 stars
