Had a great time with our guide, Victoria with CiaoFlorence. This is a great outing for experienced bike riders. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with physical challenges or to novice bike riders. The road surfaces were uneven and the hills and curves required good coordination and at least a decent knowledge of bike riding. The scenery was beautiful and the route was fun.
Our favorite activity for our 5 days in Florence! We are an active family of 5 (including 3 teens). We love to do unique things. We did this tour our first full day in Florence, and it was perfect for us. A great ride into the hills, great wine and olive oil tasting, and finished with a ride along the Arno. A great value for a great bike ride!
Had a fantastic ride with our guide Marco! Only had a ride in the city for 2 km or so and then got into very quiet roads through rolling Hills with hardly a car in sight beautiful views of Florence. I highly recommend Marco.
The ride is beautiful through the countryside with wonderful views of Florence from a hilltop town. The Olive Grover is very nice and informative, but note that this is where they grow the olives, not where they process the oil. We still enjoyed it very much. The E bikes were in good condition, except a few were missing chain guards, which cause bike oil to get on our pants. I let the tour operator know. Also, our tour guide was pleasant, but a little quiet and I feel it could’ve made the experience much better with some enthusiasm and education along the way. If you are new to riding, be aware that you do ride through the busy city for a little while, and the climb is quite big. Be sure to use turbo mode up the big hills, which our guide discouraged, but it was necessary for some in my party. They had a great time which they used a higher pedal assist, and it kept the group together.
amazing guided tour outside of busy city. No touristic soors, amazing Pasticceria we visited and magical olive farm. The ride is in overall easy and you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and panoramas
What a beautiful ride from the center of Florence to the top of Fiesole! The olive oil mill was so interesting, and I learned a lot. Both wine and oil were delicious. I have taken several e-bike tours (Paris, Athens, Versailles, North Carolina...) and this was the most rigorous by far. I am 58 and ride a bike, segway, and motorcycle without a problem. I walk regularly, too. This was a LOT for me. The e-bike was tall and heavy. My 5-foot-tall athletic niece struggled with height of the bike. She and another woman couldn't touch the ground while on the seat. I highly recommend this tour and Marco was a wonderful guide who looked out for all of us and ensured we were safe and keeping up with the group. I would just classify this tour as appropriate for a more athletic traveler, and would say if you're not at least 5'4", you may struggle with the height and weight of the bike.
Really fun tour! We had a group of 5 and we stopped along the way at viewpoints and a small church (unfortunately the museum part was closed as it was a Sunday). Easy ride in terms of fitness level required but it was a lot more dangerous than I expected with one of the girls falling off her bike twice. A lot of steep downhills with rocks/uneven ground, would recommend being a confident cyclist. We tried 2 olive oils, picked a fresh fig from the tree and tried one glass of wine. I did think we’d tour the olive farm and learn about the process/farming a bit more though.
First of all our guide Grazie was amazing from start to finish. She made sure we knew how the bikes worked and let us take a test drive to make sure everything was working properly. Riding through downtown Florence was a bit dicey, but once we were out of town it became very peaceful the farther up we went. When we got to the Olive Oil farm we had a great professional olive oil tasting and some of their wine. I absolutely loved it. If you are in the fence about taking this tour, don’t think just do it! You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful experience with e-bikes in the Fiesole hills. Wonderful views and interesting tasting of oil and wine at the farm. Special thanks to our guide Lucia!
Despite being locals, we and another couple of friends wanted to try this unusual experience. We spent a beautiful morning, cycling and admiring beautiful views. Lucia explained many interesting things. I recommend it as an experience, to tourists and also to Florentines who do not disdain an immersion in nature.
