Florence: Discover Pitti Palace, Residence of the Medici Dynasty

Your guide will share insights into the palace’s history, from the Medici to the House of Lorraine, and its role as Italy’s royal residence from 1865 to 1870. After the guided visit, enjoy free time to explore the Gallery of Modern Art, the Treasure of the Grand Dukes, and the Museum of Fashion and Costume, diving deeper into the art and history of Florence’s most prestigious palace.

After 2 frustrating experiences with tours earlier in the day, and with the heat at “feels like 106 degrees F”, we regrettably didn’t make it to the Pitti Palace tour. We were feeling too much heat exhaustion to participate in the tour.
Hi Laura, we are sorry to read that you couldn't fully enjoy Florence and our tours because of the heat, this summer was particularly hot and challenging for everyone. You could take this as an excuse to book another vacation in Florence, maybe during the spring or the fall. If you decide to do that we hope that you will want to use our services again. Kind regards, ACCORD Team
