Meet your expert guide 15 minutes early at the designated meeting point just outside the Accademia Gallery. The exact meeting point is listed on your booking voucher.
With timed-entry tickets in hand, head through security and into the Accademia. Tune in as your guide shares fascinating stories about Michelangelo's David and the unfinished Prisoners. You'll get the full story behind David's symbolism, scale, and place in Florentine identity.
Back outside, stroll over to Florence's most recognizable landmark for an exterior look at the Duomo, Brunelleschi's dome, the bell tower, and the Baptistery. Your guide explains how this complex powered the Renaissance and shaped the city skyline. (Florence Duomo exterior viewing is not included with the Group Express option.)
Continue along Via Calzaiuoli and into Piazza della Signoria, Florence's open-air sculpture gallery and political heart. Your guide points out the Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi, and the replica David standing where the original once did. (Piazza della Signoria and the historic center walking tour are not included with the Group Express option.)
Once again, enjoy quick entry with your pre-reserved tickets and step into one of the world's greatest collections of Renaissance art. I had several tours in Italy over the last week and this was so far the best one. In my experience any tour highly depends on the guide and this one was beyond my expectations! Lori did the outstanding job in both galleries and even around the city center, she is highly knowledgeable. Thank you Lori!
The Headout booking of priority tickets for the Accademia and the Uffizi in Florence worked well for the Accademia as the local representative was easy to find for collection of tickets and the priority queue moved quickly. However there was no local representative to be found for collection of tickets at the Uffizi as per the email. I had even tried phoning the Headout contact number for ticket collection information to no avail. The ticket email suggested I could also access tickets by downloading the Headout app which eventually I did while searching through the crowds at the Uffizi for the representative. As the tickets were timed I was starting to worry, especially as I was having internet problems as well. We were just able to download tickets via the app and make the appropriate visit time. A frantic start to our visit. Headout should make very clear that there is no ticket collection via a representative at the Uffizi Gallery as there is at the Accademia.
Statue of David is amazing and so is the museum.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had an enthusiasm for the works he was describing. Since the tour was limited time, he covered the highlights. And we had limited time to see as much as we could. We will need to go back at another time and take our time to really enjoy the museums.

Francesca was my guide and she was wonderful! Kind, made sure everyone stuck together, and very knowledgeable. Overall this tour was a great way to see the highlights of the Accademia and Uffizi, with several nice anecdotes/pieces of information about Florence and the Medici family while strolling through town. We also were allowed a stop for handmade gelato! Prepare for lots of time on your feet!
